My wheeled ghost cab Imp build is much more nimble and feels like a real car. Does lots of ram damage too.
We needed another fucking invincible wheel with stats that are 2x as good as other movement parts. Even my buggy wheel builds hardly get dewheeled.
Most people use omni-directional movement anyway, wheels just aren’t used as much.
I use to run 5 hermits with one reg hermit for tonnage but even the steering titans has more tonnage than reg hermits. The 4 wheel drive feels way less wonky than having to use 5 or 6 hermits. Right now I got 2 steering titans in the front and 2 steering hermits in the back and I have enough tonnage to cap out my entire mass limit of the increased mass limit ghost cab.
I dont go off of whats popular. I go off of what is effective against dangerous players in good builds, and nothing except wheels and red hovers fit that criteria except a fringe niche of other builds. I’ve been forced to stop playing Omnis and Augers entirely because they simply cannot keep up with any amount of skill, and in my experience I’m having better and easier games playing wheels and hovers.
Wheels and Icarus VI are by far the most dominant and common movement parts rn at 8k+ in pvp. There is literally zero refutation to this.
Everyone should play what they enjoy the most, but also shouldn’t assume that their experiences are universal.
