When you get to the final boss spider at the end, you CANNOT just shoot randomly at the boss. You HAVE TO SHOOT THE GENERATORS (Big red things on 3 of the sides) Both battles I’ve done so far people didn’t read the quotes and didn’t do that.
After the gens are down, THEN you can shoot at the thing on top. Also: at the very end, after boss is dead, run up the slope to the left (and mind the gap), you can’t go through the shield. Took me a couple seconds to find it lol.
I don’t want to spoil too much more, I know it is still very new, but I also noticed one more thing: the final boss is just a giant version of an actual car. The legs are gerridas, the sides are montefortinos, shield is the size of aegis-prime, and the yellow thing on top is a ravager EYE decor.
It’s about the same. I tried to cheese the boss by not jumping off the cliff when the shields are still down but the shields went up anyway. Still won though:
The Avalanche/Flamethrower walker now has the new running legs, which instantly make that one a lot better than before, now it’s at least as good as the rest of the builds
its alot harder now,and there is not enough time.
the builds are alot weaker now. big spider just drags u around until ur dead
if u do get to the end before the spider dies,u need to dance with the lasers shooting down on you (not sure if thats new)
everyone should pick the minigun build. retchers are okay-ish for the first half, then they’re just dead weight, and avalanche sucks in all aspects (why would you pick it).
for the scanner part, 2 players are defending and the other 2 rush forward. they have just enough time to get in the position and destroy the nests. there’s the yellow glowing thing at the back of it, you can destroy it with one full burst (plus one rocket launcher volley). when the scanner is done, these two players (that stay behind) should press backspace and get auto-revived closer to the next objective.
the 2 players that were assigned to the nest destruction will die 95% of the time, but that’s okay. two respawned players are going to the gate sector, and the “nest duty” players will also get auto-revived. then just destroy the LEFT sections of the gate and pass through. you can ignore spiders (just try to destroy / stun the large ones)
for the large spider, destroy the 3 generators, then go closer to exit together and focus its core from afar. this way it’s safer to get to the exit since you’ll have to cover less distance
um… we always won in the past.
maybe its all new players now, i dont know, but everyone seems to struggle,i havent won 1 match yet, and no one can kill the boss in time to get to the finish line
anyone else see this?
it just seems wrong.
Are you sure? For me it feels easier than before. Or I should say a bit more balanced, the enemy ai feels tweaked in places
Feels like they’ve dumbed down the “medium spider” ai and dragging power, I remember those things were insanely deadly in the original one, the moment they skinnered you you were just getting dragged around with no chance to get up, but this time around they don’t seem to skinner on to your build almost at any time, and you seem to drag them around instead of the other way around. Instead of avoiding them now you can rush them and destroy them more easy. Also the stun time feels longer and more frequent, maybe they added more eyes, or made them more easily shootable
The big spider is more deadly now, mostly because more Mortas and more frequently shooting them, and the targeting of the falling shots is way more precise, but on the other hand the laser mines aren’t as much or frequent and don’t seem to be as bad as before. I like it like this more, gives a bit moee gameplay having to dodge shots more rather than just waiting for the shield to go down and worrying about laser mines
The “end medium spiders” feel the same as ever though. Still very easy to not make it to the ship
Also I feel like they’re toned down either the usage of the Spark or the amount of regular spiders with the Spark, feels like there’s more Blockchains now, which is nice because the Swarm could not be used in the original brawl, you’d just instanuke your own build because constant spark
I have yet to loose a single match, but I have ran into people not knowing at all what to do multiple times, and usually am the only one on the ship at the end. No idea if it’s just people who did not play the original or new players, but I seem to run into novices of this mode more than veterans
Grab a timer, grab the avalanche build, stand face to face with a nest, start timer, shoot avalanche at it and as it reloads just blast both flames at the nest. Be surprised how good a single avalanche build can kill a nest
Or don’t honestly we all know you’re not going to do anything like that and will just keep on complaining about how Avalanche is wrong and everyone else is wrong and how your way is the only correct way la la la can’t hear you my way is better la la la and so on
because, objectively, you’re picking a SINGLE-TARGET, low dpm, high alpha damage, barely any AoE build in a mode where there’s potentially about a THOUSAND or so enemies.
it does “excel” in nest busting or generator busting. which, combined, takes only ~25 seconds of active firing or so. you’ll shave about 5 seconds max (even if everything goes your way). but you’ll suck in literally anything else?
and this could’ve been over in 8 seconds total, because i ended up screwing my shots so there was 119 damage lacking and i’ve had to reload. if you’re that desperate to shave 2 or so seconds with your avalanche in a mode that takes 6-7 minutes to finish, then i’m really sorry for you
I have issues with the swarm on the devo mech. The spark drones hit the swarm missiles right as it fires and disables the entire mech and the right gun. It only leaves the cabin, left gun, and the legs when this happens and it makes the swarm almost useless in the brawl.
sadly this is true. we tried to get through it quickly and you basically have to rush it. i got to the boss on the last phase where you have to attack the head then run to the end but ran out of time. maybe a bad run i suppose.
i feel that theres ALOT more drone spiders to.
the bigger ones are a bigger pain in the bumper but if you hit them in time you CAN destroy them. retchers are a good counter to them but the trigger spider drones aim for your weapons constantly.
at the end my team mates kept dying to the boss lasers when all you have to do is run in a circle and they will never hit you. the ground lasers are easy to destroy.
these gates feel like they have 6 times more health then they did last time. idk if thats just me but i feel like they have ALOT more hp.
i can kill the boss rather quickly because of the set up i choose. i just aim for the engines and destroy the 3 of them then aim for the head after its stopped barfing missiles at us. it isnt difficult but bad team mates will ruin it for you. one guy had the avalanche and flamthrower combo which i feel made us lose.
when i got skinnered by them i did notice they still dragged me quite heavily but they can be countered. however the instant they skinner you every little drone nearby will come after you. however if you run retchers they are easy to counter and destroy.
run in a circle and it will never hit you.
the morta on the big spider is far FAR more powerful then it used to be. you NEED to be careful cause if your to close and take a hit then your finished.
the best one for dealing with the nests imo is the incinerator and retcher. it heats and deals insane damage so yeah. never tried the avalanche and firebugs.
gotta play with people who know what they are doing bud. come join us and wreck some bugs!
