I would like to propose a new concept for Crossout: support weapons that expand the diversity of gameplay and open up innovative possibilities for team dynamics. These weapons would bring unique functions such as healing, controlling enemy movements, and enhancing teamwork.
Let’s go! I’m politely requesting that the Crossout team adds new support weapons to create new combinations.
One idea that could completely change the current scenario would be the introduction of “Healing” weapons. Well, in this case, I wouldn’t know exactly how to implement them properly. For example, a weapon that allows the player to maintain a “reasonable” distance from their ally and “repair” their broken or damaged parts. For instance, if a weapon was removed from the cabin, the player with this support weapon could “restore” the ally’s weapon, as well as other support weapons that could perform various functions, such as healing, crowd control, etc.
# Support Weapons:
- Weapons that restore allies’ weapons.
- Weapons that restore the structure of your vehicle.
- Weapons that restore wheels and movement systems.
- Weapons that reduce the movement speed of enemies (good for countering excessively fast enemies, which can become toxic to the game).
- Weapons that reduce the enemy’s firing rate (for example, a machine gun would fire slower when hit).
- Weapons that creat shield(bar) for allies.
These could be a new “grade” of support weapons that would cost a “reasonable” amount of energy points, such as 2–4 energy points.
To balance this in a satisfying way, vehicles equipped with these weapons would not be able to mount other categories of weapons. This type of gameplay would thus be more appealing to players who enjoy the “support” playstyle.
How to Score for Support Roles?
In the traditional gameplay, scoring is primarily based on the damage dealt to enemies. For support-focused roles, scoring should reflect their contributions to the team by repairing, assisting, or controlling enemies.
# So, does this mean I wouldn’t deal any damage?
Well, within the category of support weapons, some specific weapons with a similar effect could be included, like the “Acari,” which serves as a support weapon, or others like the harpoon, etc. These are weapons that don’t deal much damage but serve as support.
I believe this would bring a fresh dynamic to the game itself, opening new frontiers for more diversity in builds.
