These have been the most unbalanced missions I’ve seen yet, and I wish it was over already. Too many times, only one team gets the helicopter players, and if that’s not YOUR team, you’ve lost before you even started. I started counting, and I’m seeing 2/3 of the time, only one team gets the copter users. Anybody else notice this or is it just me?
I’m often that heli player just not in your matches.
In the matches I have done, even when there is extra heli players on the other team they tend not to target me in a heli that often. They go target other bots and players on the ground as it’s an easier target.
I do like the game mode though. That might be just because it’s a slaughter mode with respawns which I’ve always found enjoyable though.
I have helis, and sometimes use them in those missions, but I feel like I’m seal clubbing the other team when they don’t have any and my team does. I’m only raising the issue because winning that way doesn’t feel rewarding.
At first the, it strike me like a way, to put choppers and regular builds playing together which i don’t like .
But there are silver lining in this mode.
respawns, allow me to be extra aggressive, more than usual, and targeting builds that another way i wouldn’t go after.
i prefer smaller teams, i don’t understand why consoles people don’t like it, it’s better that way, it’s easier to single out a build and really go for it, and people seem to organise better…but hey, they are playing on consoles and not in pc, it’s not to understand.
Who lives by the sword dies by the sword, so there are games where where i get supressed completely or the other team organise better.
I just have to ignore choppers
Nothing is perfect, having points to reach victory it’s also what i’m most familiar with.

What does console have to do with it? I play console and I have no issue with Next Step. I also shoot aerial vehicles out of the sky. If they dominate, then I get my heli out and get blown out of the sky.
Console guys, play 6 vs 6, right?
Here, on PC it’s 8 vs 8…and it’s not anything special, meanwhile i’ve seen complains about 6 vs 6 and suggestions to improve those 6vs 6.
Maybe it’s because of the respawns, but i personally, like it more, it give us more freedom i’ve been in losing teams that were able to turn around and win and i’ve been in teams that were ahead and lost in the end.
I’m feeling that it’s more competitive, more balls to the wall, and we can really go for it, regardless what type of build we have, very good fun, very similar to the slaughter event a couple of years ago which i loved.
Of course that’s only a "“side effect” of what i think it’s the true reason behind this mode.
to join ground builds and airs in one battle…and that’s the only downside of this mode.
ground builds and air builds shouldn’t go in the same mode

My last race models only had two boosters, having to have 4 boosters only took my racing builds out of balance.

why could i only race in specific tracks and not in all tracks? that was another reason.

I don’t get it.
It’s not so much that there’s copters in the mode; it’s only unfair when only one side has them. I’ve been in numerous battles where the first team had 2 copters and 4 wheelers, and the second (losing) team had only wheeled builds. It gets demoralizing when the lucky team with copters gets triple the kills of the non-coptered team. When I’ve used copters and the other team had none, I only focused the bots and gave the human opponents a chance.

It would be more fun if there would not be choppers.
It’s hard to be fair when the same weapon clearly brings advantages to either type of build.
But what can we expect, they took the same weapon, balance it to a specific mode instead of doing a different weapon or a version of the initial weapon.
that lead the same weapon to be trash in one type of battle and good in another ( there are several weapons in that situation bad in the ground and good in the air and good in the ground and bad in the air ) and now let’s put one against another.
98 % of my games are on the ground 2% is for missions with the 2k PS chopper, my worries are about ground meta, melee, now it’s seems to be walkers, and so on.
And if you play choppers i imagine you are more worried about air meta, whatever that may be.
All i can say is… it’s not my fight, my prey or adversary, i don’t plan to build for them because that will only weaken my build when i face what i consider to be the real adversary ( which is, in my case, another ground build ).
And the same would be valid for you if you play air, or mostly air. in your case, building for ground will only weakens you when facing another air build.
if i have one positive thing to say about the mode is that the respawns are good. i got tired of constantly having only 1 life. it was really repetitive to say the least.
… i just wish fuze drones were strong enough to use again at 10k… id have alot of fun in this mode if they were
why don’t you try other drones.
I personally use hawks and sidekicks.
I play at 7K /7.7 K, with the match making, it can go a bit higher and outside the usual complains we have for playing drones lack of durability and so on, i don’t have any complains
