No love for wheels , or new season part 2

No accounting for taste…
I hope the look grows on me. I don’t like the Deadhead, either. Maybe I’ll learn to like it. I hope I’ll learn to like it. In any event, you rarely actually see the cabins on real builds, so what does it matter? :man_shrugging:

Exactly.

Cabins are a control pod inside your build.

In many cases you will not see them from the outside.

This is a hard pill for some people to swallow though.

It sucks for us art-build guys, but that’s okay. I have other ugly cabins that I use because they’re useful. I have pretty cabs I use because they’re pretty.

I actually like the functional potential of this one… we’ll see. It’s impossible to know if it’ll be awesome or suck based on the info we have. I’m hopeful, though.

I was pondering this cab while I was out & about today.

Duster is 250, but not legendary. Kami is 570, so this will be below 570?

Aggressor, Cockpit & Kami all do 100, so this one will be faster. Probably 105, I’m guessing.

So, when the perk is activated, things aren’t healed immediately.

It looks like it’ll be small… 4 wide, 6 long & 3 or 4 high is my guess.

There are nodes on the front, back & top… maybe the bottom. None on the sides.

I’m betting we see a lot of this new cab…
I’m betting it’ll be plenty useful in running down hovers limited by the Icarus VII’s lower speed. A faster cab is essentially a tiny little buff for most of the wheels.

I love fast cabins. I don’t remember the last time I used a heavy outside of being forced into it for a challenge.

This thing looks fun.

Please tell me what corner you can back a hover into? They just go over the top of you.
I like what they did with tracks. The need to give wheels a speed perk, add speed to cabins, and speed up large weapons turn rate ie reapers, cyclones, mammoth and lower equivalents.
Hovers and omnis bury these weapons so they are locked because they don’t need them to turn, they can fly backwards faster then most cabins drive fowards, all while aiming and shooting anyone chasing them, all without having to worry about other players being in their way or even small obstacles.
A little advice for taking on hovers, if you catch one out in the open tack in on them like a sailboat tacking the wind, their weapons don’t turn and hovers don’t react instantly, so they can get out of sink with your approach.
Even at that they are an 80% favorite, because all they have to do is not play that game.
Giving my wheels more speed and letting my weapons turn faster would even that up a bit

agree,

We already pointed a lot of advantages of hovers where other parts do not have this advantages, while there are just a little disadvantages that shotguns/firedogs use to play against hovers.

While screen armor is not connected to hovers, it was working best on them, since they can use its full potential.

And if someone say it can be used on hvy builds, ye, but then they will have no part limit to use all the mass for armors, so usually they can just put like 10 parts max for a screen not 60 like light builds.

So i hope except another buffs for hovers, at least this patch nerf will fix most(not all hover advantage ofc)

Can we please stop using a poorly translated Russian term for “Spaced Armor”?

They only used the word “screen” because they are ignorant and don’t know how to properly translate English.

I’m sorry, but Screen Armor just sounds dumb.

So far teasers haven’t been promising. The most interesting things are bumper and that incisor’s brother.

Epic wheels all have perks (and so do special wheels).

Try combining buggy wheels with oppressor. It’s a fast combo, and your slow turning weapons will work a lot better. Also, it’s really fun to play.

Oh but hover players will find a way to cry… You chaps remember that hovering forumer who just quit after Supercharged because “waaah my hovers got destroyed!” ? :eyes:

Then you have more proper spaced armor vehicles like the M1126 Stryker Combat Vehicle

Are they still doing the frame changes?

What kind of frame changes?

I thought they were doing something to change frame tanking

They did

Vaguely rings a bell. Something with less damage absorption and more durability. Probably they gonna do it but over a gazillion eons, like they always smear their small spurt of creativity over 4 BP.

Also notice how the ranged damage stays the same, but frames now resist melee better.
Just Targem at its best. Every ground build being stuck with 90% grilles getting lolpened from the other side of the map, vs chad hover with 10000 effective dura 75% passthrough donut of light frames

They might as well change the battle music while they’re at it. Can you hear it?

How much do you wanna bet most weapons’ pierce value will be set at 40%? They already said Kaiju would be.

25% +18.75% = 43.75%. Oh no, 2 frames and my Kaiju can go get fucked. What a surprise.

Passive Melee weapons like hatchets or incisors mounted on top of your build works great against hovers. A fast build combined with chameleon to ram them will usually strip the engine or do great damage to the engine.

Youre so short sighted. They have taken off 5km on one patch and 5km on another. 10km makes a big difference. I still feel hovers would work best at 85km in terms of balance. They were 100km and when i saw that anouncment i thought, “well theyre going to get too strong again.”. Dont count out a third 5km speed nerf. In case you havent noticed devs tend to take baby steps like that sometimes.
