No matter how good you are

Or how meta your build is.

When you join random pvp games.

All the game cares about is how well you did last match.

When you have a good car at 6k that does well, and is mvp.
The next game you are assigned to is a game with 7-8k cars.
When you do well in that game with your 6k car.
the next game you play will be 9k to 10k cars.

can you see what is happening here?

The reverse is also applicable,
When you have an 8k car that performs like shit, you will be put in 6-7k matches to balance it out.

So if youre wondering why you always get put against players higher PS than you?, it means you are more dangerous than average players :sunglasses:

And those high PS enemies you are facing?, they perform like shit on their own powerscore, thats why they got reduced to your low PS game.

Some underhood balancing never disclosed but very often noticed.
There are PS caps though… at least there used to be, so at least it was possible at least before not to get 6k vs 10k. But games been wild even with PS being normal. Sometimes you would get a team, or even a streak of those with players going completely nuts so there’s nothing to do about it.
I don’t complain about it, trying to pick lesson from every mistake I built strategy where I would die last almost each battle(unless I feel like experimenting or going nuts myself) so typically I would do my maximum and… maybe get annoyed when things go too weird too much, but at least not being among those “I died and blame everyone alive for my failure”.

I always wondered about that phenomina I figured it was a Match maker error and blew it off as a glitch. I have landed in 12 k matches in a 6k build scratching my head on how to survive. I didn’t do well in the previous matches and still landed in a higher PS matches. I shrug it off and play through then change build to break the routine .

Hello,

What’s happening is essentially a hidden performance-based matchmaking system: the game adjusts your opponents not just by raw power score, but by how effective you’ve proven to be. If you consistently outperform with a lower PS build, you get pushed into higher PS matches because the system sees you as a bigger threat. Conversely, if you underperform with Official Site a higher PS build, you’re dropped into lower PS matches to balance things out. In short, being matched against higher PS players usually means the game considers you more dangerous than your score suggests.

talking to Bots ?

Oh… that’s AI? Here? Lol. Thnx for the hint. I’m usually good at spotting AI, just didn’t expect it here on forum with 3.5 people. And I was away for year+ and didn’t visit so not aware enough of all things…
So devs now brought AI to explain hidden matchmaking tweaking and cheating? Or why does that AI response even happened here? Looks like some account specifically for this post =/

I can believe this :100:. I have done well in a patrol for instance. Then after several matches it seems the bots hunt me down and of course the relic bots with perfect aim vaporizes me in one shot from near spawn across the map. Coincidence? a fluke? I think not. To break this routine a change in builds & PS is nesessary. Then it all resets. This games AI has come a long way from the comically inept Bots that often could be found humping a rock to be easily taken out while it is getting its jollys. These were from the “Old days” of XO. Those days are history. Being of that, Rewards structure in patrol & other missions /raids should also be bumped up accordingly. Many don’t agree the games AI has become more effective and some of us are baying at the moon. Bat guano loco… Fact is, After playing this game since open beta dropped, I do see a major difference from what the game began. This game has progessed greatly in many avenues.
