To Hoplite or not to Hoplite?

Hey survivors,

Question to you awesome builders out there. Has anyone used the Hoplite modules? If so, how did they fair in todays meta? Are they worth the price and if you were to rate them from 1 - 10 what would you give them.

ive herd some mixed things about them like they only boosts what your armors resistances are and whatnot. i havent ran them at all but i think there was some mistranslations when they released it in english. i think they were mentioning it somewhere in the forums but i forget where… maybe in a topic i posted or something? its been a little while.

I haven’t tried it yet, I find that I always run weapons that need another type of a 1 energy part if I have any energy left over (better reload module, starter) and 2expensive4me just like all spread stabilizers, they can miss me with that crap

I do not know how good it is though, even before it was in the game beefy builds felt beefy and frail builds felt frail, and ow that it exists I have not noticed too big of a change. Beefy enemies are still beefy and frail enemies are not suddenly beefy. I don’t think it’s as good as people are hyping it up based on that experience

I wanted to get one to check it out, but at nearly 4000 coins for one (on PC) it’s an expensive proposition.

Would always use it if it was 0 energy.
Would likely never use it otherwise because other modules are more usefull:
Averter, Aegis-Prime, Jackie, Chameleon, radars, cooling and reloading modules(depending on weapon type of course), or even Fin Whale engine or Trombone. Only after installing all the modules listed before I would place this one(but I will run out of energy by this point lol)… It’s just too weak and situational unless some too annoying heat meta rampage.
Actually makes me think its a leviathan must have thing.

… ngl i suspected it to cause alot of their replies seem like something a bot would say. i mean i seen people type responses the same way they do, especially their initials and whatnot, which, idk why people do that.
i mean im not saying they are a bot, its just their responses really seem like bot replies alot of the times.

  1. I learned to comment on forums when I played in a game called Starsiege.

  3. First always respect the folks who take time to comment.
  4. If a person gives the gift of time, you might want to follow up and show that they are a priority.

Oh… so you’re just weird. Ok, sorry. It’s just you’re too sweet to the point of sounding like you mocking something. And yeah, there might be places where people talk differently, but here people didn’t use to talk like that, being at each other throats was common thing few years ago lol.
I mean my post is just my opinion and info and many smartasses would just consider it spam like “other modules more usefull? You don’t say… Do you have anything actually smarter to say?? If not - don’t waste our time with noob opinions like that.” - That what you could have expected to see here not so long ago lol. And there been AI response before I think. Someone even pointed out that too me.

yeah basically this.
there had been alot of bots and ai responses here the past… some being similar to cougars replies to that was going back what year ago now? maybe a few years maybe?
i seen bots type similarly to cougars responses to but im glad theres a human there and not an ai.
