So the game was doing pretty ok for a while as long as balance was considered, then Nox+scorp builds and Charon buff happened (with a bit of hover perk added as a secret spice) and now it feels like the game is back in the dual scorp hover meta days.
Especially with the speed limits and shotgun nerfs that were during the scorphover infestation (and general hover infestation in general) the only way to counter the peekaboo long range hovers untouchable unless you were running boosters, which makes me imagine theyâll maybe next year buff shotguns again and weâre back in shotgun wedge meta, give or take, once again.
Are they really just going to cycle through the same old meta problems again and again? Because it really feels like it. I bet that after the shotgun reign, thereâs going to be a relic Cyclone or Cyclone 2.0 from some random pass or something else that buff the cyclone, and weâre back in Cyclone countering everything stage once again. Itâs like this game can not graduate from these set stables in effectiveness. 7 years of the same shit repeated in a loop and always struggling the same things, disguised under different coats of paint and visuals
well how else do you expect them to force players to spend money to be competitive in pvp?
Just got my 2nd Charon, first build I made Used Nox.
I hate light cabs. Too weak. Plus if you want to use its max speed you have to use wheels (or bigram legs)
I find Charon Too Heavy, and not remotely op,( jupiter too, not op)
Nox with scorps is op i guess but iâll never have scorps
Iâm having better luck using other cabs with Charon.
At some point theyâll reach a point where so much stuff has been left non-competitive that even the most whaled up players start to get bored when the freekill builds become too freekill and itâs basically going to be 4 samebuilds vs 4 samebuilds every match
there are never going to be free kills because other players pay for the meta too, while actual free kill low level players either buy the meta or quit the game and get replaced by another new player. and one day the new players will dry up
Sometimes I feel like we live in completely different realities.
There is a much larger number of viable weapons and builds now than there was five years ago.
I think what you guys are really complaining about is that there are also now more counters to the builds that used to be top of the heap, and which you used to dominate with.
Anyway, I predicted that once more players unlocked a second Charon that you guys would be complaining about it instead of Triton, and looks like I was right.
I donât actually think Charon is that OP, but itâs strong enough to disrupt the existing metas, and thatâs always going to bother people that got comfortable with their existing builds and strategies.
Adapt or die is harder for some people than others.

charon is strong but i dont know if its OP enough to need to nerf it. its going to feel more OP when every single player has it, and every game is completely full of them. triton is more disruptive, but theyve already confirmed a nerf for the movement part its used with

I dont care what weps hover hasâŚthey all blow up with my 13 booms!
I love stealthing inâŚlooking for them floatersâŚand u say you have 2 scorps sitting on itâŚoh its a dream! Come here and give me a big boom hug mr. hover guy!

Iâve never considered hovers as OP or god-like, at least not in my hands.
I play with them, but only on functional art builds, and never in PVP, because I find them very âfloatyâ; if youâre looking for precise movement, hover isnât the way to go. They may have been great when you had the sideways-cabin builds, but I believe that was fixed a coupla years back already.

its called a â Nerf â
we donât want to buy new weps again and then have them nerf, at least i donât.( plus upgrading them) itâs just a waste.

well say that to Mace Shotguns that cant hit anything and shoot up in the sky after the nerfâŚ
they are totally useless now, all 4 upgraded and money gone.
they use to do good, now they do nothing at all.
see any hurricane users anymore- i wonder why ? Nerfs.
âoh and â Adaptâ means to you - Buy another wep ? thats not how it works after you spent alot of money on a thing you like the mostâŚ
Iâve heard this repeated several times, and I have one mace left, so I tested it outâŚI must have the only mace that shoots where I point it!

use it in missions pvp not ur garage⌠
I donât have Maces currently, but the shotgun buffs seem to have fixed my problems with the other turreted shotguns.
If youâre still having issues with Maces, I suspect that itâs about the physical models being changed so that you canât bury them behind armour the way you used to without restricting firing angles.
It seems like the former hitscan weapons still donât have reticles that accurately display where the barrels are really pointed, so armour can change where theyâre pointed without it being apparent.
Can you post the Mace build youâre having issues with?
same build before the nerf n hit thingyâŚ
âwhen u face hugâ the bullets shoot up in the air for no reason while u shoot their build. 'looks like a ricochet but thats not possible, there is no damage
been playing this along time,so i know how things work. that update killed itâŚ
you shure about that?
itâs not a ricochet m8, itâs bad placement, mostly the 1s in the backâŚ
raise them 1 pin and see

oh u again !
this build was great with no issues before the âNERFâ
cant raise it up - it will be on the roof of my cab lol .
like i said and others say the â hit thingyâ nerf killed alot of wepsâŚ
itâs the game,not my build.
so i dont use them anymoreâŚ
'like u will see with most of ur weps that get nerfedâŚ
'like i said they fire fine until u face hug ur enemy, then they shoot up in the air while shooting straight into the enemyâŚWHY ? (The Nerf)
Thatâs what I expected to see.
I believe they adjusted the physical
models of most of the turreted shotguns to make it harder to armour them.
I have been unable to get any of them to work when recessed one block like you have, unless on a tilted build.
Put some sliepnir tracks in the rear and you might be able to make that build work better. Bigfoots or large wheels would probably also work, but you would lose the advantages of an all-tracks build.
Or raise your guns up a block, and deal with them being exposed.
I spent a long time trying to make shotguns work, and most of my problems turned out to be about angles being blocked. The range buff and projectile size buff solved all the hitscan issues for me.
There are also a few other ways to boost shotgun performance now, if they still feel too weak to you. Both spread reduction modules can noticeably improve them, and I also found Oppressor gave them a boost.
And if durability becomes the problem if you choose to raise them up a block, there are several ways to address that.
Sometimes using the less obvious co-driver can also help with either spread or durability issues.
