Not necessary…
I had a promo in the past and stopped receiving new parts in my inventory.
If I’m not wrong, it was the BP after Founders.

It really seem to be a promo account.
Normally, no market purchase can be made with them.

So even if it was not a dev like others mentioned…

  • A promo account requires a new account, so it’s unlikely you’d see crazy high gamer score (or trophies on a playstation account). You can’t turn an existing account into a promo account afaik.
  • Why would you spend a lot of time playing on a promo account, other than for testing purposes or building crazy stuff for fun. You can’t trade, and typically can’t play clanwars with promo accounts. There’s nothing to earn or grind for.
