Perceived lower new players

Hello i really enjoy playing the game but as a new player the and this might be my ignorance of the game so please take this with a grain of salt as i am not bashing just a new comer observation.

the game has grown to an unappealing cost inflation when you are new you want to play and compete however there are tiers that you have to go through to even think about getting equipment that is highly competitive. i know purist of the game would probably say that the grind is part of the game i would agree that it is however the cost of items has made allot of things very expensive when you figure the cost of crowns and coins they are a high conflated cost. things costing 22,000 coins is getting out of reach for players who are not able to spend that kind of money to obtain and I’m not sure i will live long enough to obtain any of it I’m 61 and not in the greatest of health and the grind is almost out of reach foe players to progress withy any speed. Possibly there should be a beginners path that has vehicles of different types to play the game with everyone in the same power and vehicles lets say up to level 30. this would allow people to progress with everyone and obtain parts and and all the other stuff with a very clear path and also possibly after the level of 30 then there to pay in games where you play what against every one with the same tier format. i will keep grinding and i don’t think that it should be nerfed down but the frustration is when you play and when you start you are on your own and yes there are teams that you can join. the learning and cost curve is very high. well just my 2 cents. thank you all.

Finally, someone my own age! 1964 was a good year for European vintage wine.

Anyway, when I started out, I just ground the stuff I needed slowly but surely. It was only after about 6-7 months that I actually spent a few bucks so I could build something that would get me out of the 3-4k powerscore level. What I did was buy a few car packs when they were 50% discounted; those were the lower-priced packs, so I spent anywhere from $10-15 instead of the normal $25-$30. I stuck with PVE battles (fighting robots) because playing against live players could be demoralizing. Do the easy raids to start with. Do the weekly challenges for the badges so you can trade them for usefeul structural parts. Buy a battlepass (major or mini) for $10 so you can get some heavier weapons and a decent cabin. Play the Awakening adventure (still alot of fun, I’ve replayed it a few times); you can play it with a group if you find that some missions are overly challenging.

Most of all, enjoy the game for what it is. It’s fun, and can be addictive, even with a hard grind.

The grind is hard if you do not enjoy PVP. I enjoy PVP.
First off, get all the free packs from the other Topic.
Second, you are not forced to advance. I advanced from 6,000 power score where I liked to play to 9,000 power score because queue times are too long at 6,000.
I play drones, many were free from crates, drones are cheap. I love driving around with my detector, revealing enemy positions, flanking snipers, ramming enemy, and leaving my gifts for them. Most drone vehicle use the Cheetah, which is cheap, and are fast, use detectors, and cloak. This is very fun to me and very inexpensive. Most drone vehicles have high HP because drones are light.

Keep in mind that the expensive higher tier weapons also have a lot of PS, so while they may do more damage, you’ll also be playing against players who also have higher tier weapons.

Think of the PS system like weight classes for boxers, or different racing categories.

I’ve been playing for years, and don’t own any relics, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. If I wanted relics, I would either start playing Clan Wars, or start spending real money on packs. Or maybe someday I’ll sell a lot of stuff and get some that way.

Personally, I just want a lot of different items, so that I have a wide variety of building and playing options. I’ve been able to guarantee I have new stuff to build with each week just from grinding and paying for the basic Battlepasses.

That’s enough to keep me happy, and to allow me to be competitive enough in Clan Confrontation that I don’t feel useless.

These days, 90% of my builds are made to fit under the 9kPS Clan Confrontation limit. You don’t need the highest tier gear to compete there, although you will see lots of legendary weapons.

I also make some higher PS builds between 15kPS and 20kPS, but I don’t find the gameplay more exciting up there. For me it’s more interesting to build within a limit, but sometimes I’m in the mood to max out a build and see what the upper limit is like.
For example, I made a build with over 10k HP this week, just to see if I could. Wouldn’t want to play it every day, but sometimes driving something the size of a building is fun.
