I really don’t think 300 PS is going to ruin your build.
I think Mud builds on the bracket.
So 300 PS can completely destroy a build.
I know you do not prescribe to that belief, but for the ones of us that do a few hundred PS is a major change.
yes it does, ruined my twin hurricanes back in the day as well…
here’s the problem,everything i liked ‘is gone’…
i don’t have parts to take off to stay at 7k…
i’m tired of this crap…it’s not the first time in 5 years either…
Are you not often facing builds above 8kPS in that build already?
Are you always at the top of the PS scale?
I guess if the brackets were actually working for you and you always ended up at the top of the scale, this could be an issue. But personally I have no problem being in matches with people 3000 PS higher than me. If it was a constant thing I might get annoyed after a while, but I have yet to find a PS where I’m always on top.
Anyway, Torrero should also be a lot faster after the update, which should help compensate.
Use favorite
no need to lie…(unless your 11k) try being 7k and taking on 10k,then come back here and say ‘it’s no problem’
it’s not about being in the top of 7k…
(it’s trying to stay in 7k)…
yes i have been in 8k alot…half/half.
but maces don’t work that well in 9k and 10k…
everyone wants to stay with in the ps they want…
the top of ps scale is only a point of no return to going to the next level of ps…
does anyone know how this game works? i’m 5 years in this game…
i’m pretty sure i figured a few things out along the way…
Some still think there are not brackets. So they will not understand.
I 100% understand where your coming from.
Maybe use a teal cabin instead? I know this is not what you want to hear, but it might still be effective.
Are they giving one of the blue cabins the same basic perk and moving the rarity to teal? Hmmmm… need to look at news again.
sometimes this happens…no 7k…then skills n beer kick in
i can’t do this if i was 8k,the whole match would be 9k and 10k…that’s the difference
IDK what that means. I’ve played wheels almost exclusively since I started, and I have no idea why this was targeted for a buff. Like I said, I’m not even sure what that means, and I’ve certainly never said to myself, “Damn, if only these wheels turned faster”…unless we mean “turn faster,” like in “go faster,” and I’m pretty sure that’s not what this means.
I suppose they are trying to compensate for how epidemic the omni directional movement parts have become. I think it’s a nothing-burger, and does nothing to help how indirectly and directly nerfed wheels have gotten.
I know some people think that’s neat, but I sure don’t appreciate it. I like the drift, and don’t at all want less of it. Again, I have no idea why this is targeted for a buff. Acceleration is what is wrong with wheels, I think. This “buff” is a nerf IMO, but I suppose somebody will like it. I don’t, but thanks anyway.
Glad they fixed the bug.
Glad they buffed Big Feets. More power is what all wheels need, IMO. Wheels are nearly irrelevant in a game that initially was all about the cars, and was what I found attractive about the game when I started playing. I’d like for that aspect of the game to survive, and not go extinct. It doesn’t look good at this rate.
As for the rest of the update, it’s so wide and sweeping, I find it hard to imagine what the outcome will actually be just by looking at the numbers, but I think if I judge them by their past, it will be disastrous at first, there will be a new annoying META exploiting the game’s new and improved wonky mechanics, and hovers will still win somehow.
I like that they are trying to make faction equipment more faction like and having distinct faction qualities, but I hope this isn’t biting off more than they can chew, and will not become over-complicated for everybody, including the developers.
It looks like a lot of hard work on the developer’s part, so I salute them for that. I hope it works out.
In both of your examples above you are in the 8999 bracket.
You could go up to 8999 and you would still be getting basically the same matches.
This 300pt change shouldnt affect you much if those are the types of match ups your used to.
But if you where building right in the edge it might.
In this case I think you have a little wiggle room.
it’s not a bracket your talking about since you see 9k in there.
8999ps would bring me to 9k 10k and 11k if not 12k.
Nevermind, You do you.
The ones that get it, get it.
My sweet spot PS is usually around 10kPS, which typically puts me in matches that are +/- 2000 PS from there, but up to +/- 3000 PS depending on when I’m playing.
But I do most of my playing during the day on Mondays and Tuesdays, so the 3000PS range is what I see a lot of the time.
I’ll play builds from 8kPS to 12kPS most of the time, and I don’t see a huge difference between them. A lot of the time I’m playing against the same people no matter where I am in that range.
I am being completely honest when I say that I don’t care where my build sits in the overall range. A lot of the time when I’m the low PS player I do quite well, because I have higher PS teammates that I can work with and support. When I’m the high PS player, I often have to work harder to carry my lower PS teammates.
I really don’t understand the angst that some feel about their old build changing because of an update. If it’s impacting your enjoyment that much to go up 300 PS, I struggle to understand how you enjoy the game at all. I probably make three new builds each week. If an old build doesn’t work so well anymore, I just delete it and make something new.
Anyway, I’m still waiting for some real evidence that brackets exist. Where are the screenshots? Mud’s screenshots seem to show that they don’t exist (although I know you have explanations for the exceptions to your rule, but at a certain point you have to start questioning if there really is a rule, given that there seem to be “exceptions” half the time).
Not trying to be salty, but don’t call me a liar, even in jest. (Or at least make it more obvious that you’re joking).
“Fixed a bug with wheels going uphill (including bigrams and omnis)”
Yup, that was a thing. Poony wanted evidence. Im like, the speedometer is evidence enough.
just read what i wrote.it’s all common sense…
nothing on you personally.poony…
i know you guys play higher ps–10k and above-that doesn’t effect much when you get higher ps…
the problem is if your 7k and encounter 9k and 10k and 11k.
there are no brackets to play in ( you need to stay in your PS…high or low…it does not matter)…
‘match maker’ fills in who ever is playing atm.you can’t count for that.it’s a gamble…
that’s fine…but imagine investing in upgrades, time spent playing to get that far, just to have this game say go f yourself.5 years-gone in 60 seconds
5 years for a mace build?
This patch looks great! It buffs a lot of my stuff.
Flash
Firebug
Wheels

Stillwind
In addition, there is a badly needed set of nerfs for Icarus VII.
- Indirect nerf: Cannons buffed
- Direct nerf: Speed slowed 5 kph (This is huge for catching up)
- Direct nerf: lowered ride height (This is huge for firedogs)
- Direct nerf: acceleration efficiency lowered
Buff tonnage increased from 650 to 900.
This all should make rush good again.
The biggest buff in the update is for the Ripper. The weapon has no reduction for damage dealt to frames. That means, it does full damage to frames on every shot. Since frames don’t have that much durability and depend on pass through, this means that every Ripper mine that is run over will result in a loss of some or all of your frames.
This is kind of scary.
I really do not understand these extremely minimal changes in hp on weapons that already have extremely little hp to begin with, all it would do is make the guns survive 1.5 seconds under constant machineminigun and shotgun fire, as opposed to the earlier 1 second
What is the point?
Yep. A change this big demands a rebuild of everything from the ground up. That’s what makes the game fun. I’m not sure what if any of my builds will work after this. I think you should consider mods to your loadout to 1 fused Seal 1 fused Shiver and maybe drop the Doppler and try a Golden Eagle anyway. Just food for thought.
