So we all know the usual heating/power drain/cryo/acari/things that stick to you and explode and so on, but do you guys have any ideas on effects etc not yet utilized by weapons?
Like for example sound and visuals, imagine a cannon or energy weapon that, when it hits you, disables audio (replaces it with generic white noise for X seconds instead of being able to hear any of the normal game sounds). Or a cannon that when fired, leaves behind a sizeable smokescreen that makes it really hard to aim through. Maybe a weapon that when it hits an enemy, it darkens the screen of said enemy by 50% for a few seconds, that can be especially disruptive on darker maps.
Eve something as simple as reversing the audios (right ear bud plays left ear bud audio, left ear bud plays right earbud audio) could really mess up an enemy, thinking enemies are on the left, but they’re on the right.
Weapons that lock up the movement parts for a few seconds into whichever movement they were performing at the time of a hit (if you were strafing left, you’re stuck strafing left. If you were moving forward, you’re stuck going forward. If you were standing still, you can’t move. If you were standing still but rotating, you keep rotating like a beyblade)
We have weapons that slow down an enemy, but what about weapons that speed up the enemy? To a ridiculous degree, making movement hard because you suddenly shoot off to some random direction and have no control over the build and slide around like crazy, though this might not work because of bots being able to utilize it perfectly to their advantage
Nothing works better for blinding enemies than skadis, Also nothing works better than flash/spark for destroying incoming swarms, imugis, homing rockets and drones. On the flip side imugis is a porc players worst enemy has they stick to the porcs and blow up in your face.
I was thinking more of the opposite that a Spark does, rather than straight up impulse
I remember they did at one point, but I haven’t ran into this in months. Having it as a guaranteed perk would be kinda cool, rather than the ringign effect for 1 second stuff that happens very rarely and does not completely dull out the noise, if this perk would exist the current cannon deafness is like 15% of that perk rather than a full on 100% audio replacement for X seconds (something like 5 or more)
White they do work like that in a way, I was thinking more of an on-screen effect, like for example the red stuff that we have on ravager players in ravager modes
