Were you playing before camera steering?
I often miss traditional strafing steering, but my hands can’t handle holding down my r3/l3 buttons.
Just being able to look around more freely is a huge advantage, not to mention being able to drive and shoot sideways.
Yea I used to use L3/R3 on ps5 controller before it got sick with stick drift which coincidentally was right around the time camera steering came out.
Right now I am using a aftermarket xbox controller with back buttons but I finds xbox controller very unergonomic when using either l3/r3 or the back buttons so because of that I stick with camera steering on the xbox controller, up until now that is.

Yeah, I also broke my controller because of the old strafing controls. I’ve considered getting a controller that has those buttons in other places, but none of them seem very comfortable or ergonomic.
I’m really feeling my age in my hands these days, and I make my living with them, so it’s not worth screwing them up for a game.
I’ll accept the drawbacks of camera steering as an acceptable tradeoff.

Stick with camera steering and frig the haters. I’m ambidextrous with very nimble fingers as well and I can barely pull off the use of back buttons for strafing. I’m doing it for myself and only with my porc builds for now. Once I get good with that then I might use it with other types of builds.
