So any race open to any booster amounts? I can see people kind of complaining if they get out classed fast though.
When i used to race, i raced in many open circuits, we had variety, now not so much, it’s the same circuit again and again and again and…
More tracks would probably be nice.
instead of making temporary event they could make a championship.
How exactly would you see this run, like rankings?
specific parts with special specs light weight plastics and so on
I’m not sure exactly what you meant by this. Do you want specialized racing parts given out some where in the faction levels or are you saying give them out as rewards?
A long time ago races used to be a lot more relaxed. I remember seeing a spider with 12 epic boosters galloping at a very high speed. It was fun to watch. Hovers we’re annoying though.
What if they had something like Jak X Combat Racing?
Racers would be using premade cars, and scattered throughout the track with pickups for weapons, fuel, Ammo, and repair kits. It would kinda be like the Battle Royale mode.
That might be interesting. Though I still think combat racing has to be done on a larger map. Doing that in a circle or small industrial map would be a pain.

The Devs would have to develop a new map. They would have to strategically place different items on the map. It would be awesome if they executed it right
TBH races were very accessible, and not that unbalanced. I used to play 4 rare and 2 common boosters on studded wheels, and scored first or second enough to play nothing but that when it was up. I even made first place a fair amount with a 3 coins, full common items build just to prove it was doable back then. 1st place against hovering things, yes.
There were many different rides that all had different strength. Hover+frontal leg, pulse-boosting hover, buggies, wall builds, skeleton wigglers on BFs (probably the best build beside’s RA2Lover’s hover), wall builds, art builds showing off with no boosters, some weirdos on tracks with a bunch of Hermes, wall builds… I miss that mode so bad
Really, all it needed was hard surfaces on the god damn tracks instead of water, sand and jumps that advantaged hovers everywhere, and maybe a nitro module…
If a race mode only appeared between event brawls (using the same front page slot), and had decor rewards, they could be popular.
Maybe every season could have its own race variation?
I started to run with six and won a few races, but as i started to refine my wining builds i end up with two and it’s enough, much more light than the others with a ton of boosters and a good portion of those who used many boosters only could go in strait lines. As you cut the weight down the need for many boosters diminish. and there was a thing …once you went up a certain speed and if any part of the build scratched the floor the build would explode
Before we raced in the same maps where we fight.
I don’t know, perhaps like we see IRL, a season, divided with classes in each class there would be racers, there would be a overall classification and a classification for a particular class. ºIn the end of a season rewards could be given, there could be teams, pilots and builders classifications.
Just before i went back to my old game (big mistake) playing in 2019 my racers were skeletons builds, and before, at a certain point what i grinded in battles was to finance my races e.g. tires section in my inventory was the biggest section i had.
If i had resumed the races that section would be the biggest now.
A second set of parts race oriented would be nice, that way i could have more than a skeleton build and still saving weight .
How they would be introduced and distributed i don’t know
I’m aware I didn’t love racing on those maps. I was pretty much just agreeing that more tracks would be nice.
What kind of classes do you think would be suitable? Right now all they have it as wheels or Hovers and booster amount. Should there be tracked and legged races too like @82997663 mentioned.
What if players earned them via racing kind of like the area earned rewards? Placement points rather then outright wins. The regular wins can net other rewards on top of that.
There are a lot of possibilities, especially if pre-built cars are part of these events.
figure 8 demolition derby race! Enable passive melee so that collisions can disable cars, and judge the winner by whoever completes the most laps before destruction/time out. Probably best with pre-built cars.
monster truck racing! Lots of jumps and crushing cars
Ive been complaining about all the problems with races since they were added to the game. Races have always been bad, and will probably always be bad. Stop expecting them to get any better. They will not put in the time needed to make a good racing mode.
I liked the new races when they came out, but it quickly became obvious that cars that actually move on wheels simply can’t compete with explooiters whose wheels don’t touch the ground and they just slide around much faster. They should give structure parts touching the ground some traction.
I don’t hate rocket sled racers, but I’m not interested in making one myself, and don’t like competing against them on a conventional wheeled build.
I do think that if races became rotating temporary special events, a rocket sled mode might be fun mode to have in the mix.
we could put all type of moving parts in the mix, like before.
we would do X races in Y amount of time this way and points would be distributed, then we would see how many points each type of build have in the end.
certainly there will be a bunch of 1st places and 2 nd places and so on, inside each type of build
wheeled build with two boosters
wheeled build with four boosters
wheeled build with six boosters
and so on.
So in the last week of a event (like Slaughter or arena or that football event …) the last races would be between
8 wheeled builds only with 2 boosters
8 wheeled builds only with 4 boosters
And so on and on. The same goes fore every other movement part
Until we find a winner in each type of build, and team, and builder.
Taking advantage of what’s already existing in the game with few additions or alterations
