i kind of agree with this. but i think the main issue here is the reward doesnt outpace the requirements.
what i mean by this is it takes fuel to enter a raid, fuel used to be quite cheap, around 11 - 12 coins per 100. but now its climbed up to 18 - 20 coins per 100 and that alone isnt worth the reward as you dont make very much coins off what you get. the free 200 fuel is a good thing and i can get about 150 - 200 plastic based off that, id average around 180 or so. currently got 3.3k plastic in my inventory. the thing is plastic does sell for alot. about 70 - 88 coins per 100.
200 fuel = 18 x 2 = 36
150 plastic per 5 games - 100 plastic = 70 (low)
36 - 70 - 7 (tax) = 27 coins
200 fuel = 18 x 2 = 36
150 plastic per 5 games - 100 plastic = 88 (high)
36 - 88 - 8.80 = 43.20 coins
200 fuel = 18 x 2 = 36
200 plastic per 5 games - 200 plastic = 70 / 100 (low)
36 - 140 - 14.00 = 90 coins
200 fuel = 18 x 2 = 36
200 plastic per game - 200 plastic = 88 / 100 (high)
36 - 176 - 17.60 = 122.40 coins.
so im basing this off the minimum and maximum drops you can get per round. 30 being the lowest i gotten and 40 being the highest (i got higher then 40 before but you dont often get that much) as you can see the tax also takes away some of that profit to.
but if you just do the 200 free fuel for that day on just plastic youll make alot of money in the long run. i SOMETIMES do hard raids for electronics but even then they dont sell for much and even then i dont think the 400 badges is worth it. even then you can only do 3 - 4 hard raids per day if you use fuel. but even then its not worth the fuel costs. i feel that hard raids need to give more electronics to make it more worth while to do.
i honestly dont think raids are that hard. i havent had a whole lot of difficulty with them… minus the lunatic raid. the ones i absolutely will not do are scavengers or nomads. firestarters are… ehhhh… dawns children are kind of annoying, steppenwolves are the best ones if you can get them. they have a ton of hp but they really arent that bad. well… if you can stay out of the mandrake shots
but even then i like plastic raids more cause theres just more profit there. i saved up so much copper i got copper lol. all the copper i have (105k of it) i been saving up for a long time. years really. i used alot of it to make weapons i wanted and have a nice arsenal to. been saving up my scrap as well.
I hadn’t played any raids since the daily challenges changed, but I needed some plastic so I played a few yesterday. They do seem a bit harder, but not significantly.
Didn’t need any repair kits to finish them, and I wasn’t playing a particularly optimized build.
It does seem like their explosive modules do more damage now. I deframed myself by ramming a raider to death once, and learned my lesson.
PC market is a bit different than xbox.
Electronics are usually around 150 per 100.
I stopped liking raids a long time ago and I think that has a lot to do with it. I used to like steel cradle even though the rewards were low because it was fast. Now it isn’t.
Prior to the update, other than firestarters an lunatics, I would win every hard raid easily.
I exempt those two factions because if you have idiot teammates who won’t defend whatever you’re defending a rogue firestarter bot or two can end the match for you no matter what.
Since the update, I’m using repair kits to win… specifically against Steppenwolfs. In several of the matches, my teammates get killed twice & don’t return. I’m still winning, but each match is taking much longer & the bots are much harder.
Did you watch the video? I clipped the end of that match simply because you can see it takes over four minutes to kill the leviathan. That is different. That is new. That is insane. 4 retchers & 4 miniguns unloading on it… and those reapers were all but immune to damage. Nuts!
i dont do steel cradle for resources apart from the 6 easy raids for easy badges. but bosses have greatly increased damage resistance and about 5 - 10 times more durability on their parts then the other regular bots. i seen you hammering away at that fat man and it was not budging. also idk how you can drive like that, a camera that close to my car would drive me nuts.
ive played a few raids. mostly medium but i played a few hards. it wasnt that difficult with steppenwolves for me. i think its because i used porcs mixed with arbiters. now the one i play is perimeter breach mostly because i like the smoothness of it and its easier to kill enemies in certain maps. steel cradle is not worth the time because of the cost of fuel compared to the reward. on top of this to steel cradle ALWAYS uses the exact same boss build every time where as perimeter breach doesnt. it can use 1 of 2 builds but its a coin flip on what you get. this might not seem bad at first but also dont forget you can often times cheese the boss in perimeter breach depending on what map its on. steel cradle you kind of can as well but the map is alot more open.
for me i didnt do nomads and scavengers because of the annoyingness of their guns and their ridiculous damage output. firestarters didnt cause me much trouble but i really hated the cerberus’ with the dracos. for some reason they are brokenly strong. they could kill me in a matter of seconds if i let them come near me. steppenwolves greatest threats are their mandrakes. if you let one focus ion you for to long then itll kill you very fast. their mandrake rounds hurt alot…
it just means more rewards for you. i see dollar signs when my team mates dont come back in. it just means more rewards for me. i used to use retchers and then i switched to 2 porcs and 2 arbiters. in combination their pretty powerful. my arbiters take care of the guns and my porcs are just raw damage with heating parts added in.
