Raids NEED to be revamped

i just got out of a raid while dying the most out of anyone (because of the BULLSHIT damage increase the enemies get) and scoring the highest and only got 279 copper. this was a hard raid for christ sake!
this was the hard raid Wrath of Khan with steppenwolfs and i only got 279 copper.
meanwhile i did a different hard raid, frontier defense on hard difficulty with steppenwolfs and got 468 copper.
why the fuck is there such a HUGE GAP between rewards here!?
i did a medium raid frontier defense in the ship graveyard with nomads (seriously fuck fighting this faction) and got 175 copper.

seriously the rewards need to be revamped here and readjusted because i couldve just done 3 medium raids as opposed to one or two hard raids and gotten just as much.

2 hard raids 120 fuel = 558 copper
3 medium raids 120 fuel = 525 copper

thats only a 33 copper difference there so why would i want to do hard raids when its not as rewarding?
sure you can argue that the other raid gave more but its rewards are vastly more then the war for fire.

3 hard raids frontier defense with steppenwolfs = 1404 copper
3 hard raids the war for fire with steppenwolfs = 837 copper
5 medium raids frontier defense with nomads = 875 copper

normally in a medium raid i can get even more then 175 copper depending on the raid, my favorite perimeter breach can give over 200 per run. 5 runs at 200 each is 1000 copper, take this into account when going into a raid. each raid has its own pay out depending on the area and faction, time is not so much of a factor here. if i can get more from a medium raid, then what would ever make me want to do a hard raid? sure i might have to sacrifice a repair kit now and then but honestly id rather do a medium raid if it means i get more out of it then to do a hard raid and get less out of it.

raids, i feel, need to be rebalanced to give rewards based on several factors because the system now feels so much less rewarding. why jump into wrath of khan with dawns children if i can get twice the amount from perimeter breach on the same difficulty with steppenwolfs? it just makes no sense.

raids need to be rebalanced imo. the crap system they have in it right now just does not work.

Frontier defence takes much longer than every other raid, that’s why the reward is so much better than the rest.

War for fire, Data Theft and Perimeter Breach are notoriously shit for rewards.

Also, why are you wasting your fuel for copper? Plastic and Electronics are by far the most efficient use, you would do better selling the plastic and electronics and buying copper if you actually want copper.

My big problem with raids is that they are just dull, monotonous, boring, soul destroying grind!
For “fun” I started using my triple synthesis glass hover to keep me on my toes, then for mandrake training but even they got stale quite quickly. The ONLY thing they are really useful for is weapon training, seriously if you’re a new player this is a great way to get used to certain guns. Canons, rockets and GL’s in particular.

not really steppenwolfs but nomads. usually the steppenwolfs arent that bad but today was just terrible. i was taking far more damage then i shouldve been taking in both medium and hard raids. i think they scaled up their damage by alot cause usually i dont die more then once. i used 3 repair kits on nomads and 2 on steppenwolfs today so im not to happy about that.

not really. my times are logged into the system.

frontier defense, crater, hard, steppenwolfs - 8 minutes 38 seconds
frontier defense, ship graveyard, medium, nomads - 10 minutes 58 seconds
war for fire, wrath of khan, hard, steppenwolfs - 8 minutes 53 seconds.

i fail to see your point when these times are within seconds of eachother. sure the nomad one took a bit longer but there can be several factors at play there due to the environment.

perimeter breach isnt to bad but the rewards can be upped a bit.

because i want to? i just use my fuel for whatever raids pop up now. sure i use my fuel for plastic as well but i wanted to get more copper as well incase i need some other things. i have 60k copper but damnit i want more copper! MOOOOOOOOOORE!

electronics are a waste to get now. you only get around 20 per raid, maybe a little more, but its still not worth the 60 fuel.
300 fuel = 60 coins
5 rounds of hard raids = 300 fuel and you get 110 - 125 electronics.
10 electronics go for… lets say 10 - 11 coins. so 100 of them is 100 - 110 coins.
on top of this you lose 10% of that money cause of the market tax so really your getting 90 - 99 coins.
sure you have the extra 10 - 20 electronics left over but when you sell that its just over 100 coins, around 108 coins or so. is it a profit? sure but you need to work alot more for it.

plastic on the other hand, in a good raid i can get 40 - 45. im not going to go into the math but they are more valuable which is why i bought so much fuel long ago (roughly 15k fuel) so i could play medium raids and get all that plastic. but they fucked raids so hard that i havent been in a raid in months cause they dont have the ones that i do. perimeter breach and frontier defense is what i do and the ones i usually go for is steppenwolfs or dawns children. sure i can go for another faction like lunatics or firestarters but for some reason they give much lower rewards.
basically i want the raids to be brought back to what they were before, two random raids per difficulty, not both stuf on the same damn raid.

i like raids cause i just like blowing up enemies. i like helping out my team mates and just being an overall good player to everyone. i just want to have fun. sure raids can get boring to especially for me and yes i agree that some raids are very VERY boring. your not wrong in that. i enjoy it cause it lets me blow off some steam to, destroying enemies in raids is fun for me. but i wish that we had more to do in raids, having raids be fun again. id really like them to bring back that chase raid they did before with new vehicles this time and whatnot, i think it would be fun and it would allow us to stock up on some resources to.

mandrakes in raids… dont even bother dude. i had someone use them and they barely scored anything. felt bad for the guy so i shot off some enemies wheels and let him score some points by directing fire on them. didnt want the guy to go on empty handed.

try hitting something with retchers, cause i cant LOL… seriously i suck with them :rofl:

Ok that’s very different… Steppenwolves suck ass and nomads are generally the worst to deal with now.

Your times aren’t really what I experience, FD usually takes about that time (normally get 3 or 4 in per half hour slot)n but you’re War for fire takes far too long. Maybe Wrath is just a horrible map, tbh I haven’t done one on there for ages but rock city, bridge and old town take nowhere near that long.

The raids have now been merged, they did this quite recently so the medium copper/plastic and hard copper/elec are now exactly the same.

Very rare I have an uncompetitive game with mandrakes. Must’ve neglected a doppler, that’s an absolute must have, or maybe was just rubbish. Tbh they are one of those weapons you need to be good with and get used to the quirky nature of them, the aiming can be particularly challenging at times and usually strafing/moving backwards while firing is a good tactic to increase spread.

Mate I’m exactly the same, when I upgraded from GL-55’s, which I was really handy with, to Retchers I just couldn’t believe how bad I was with them. IIRC they were the first legendary I got (or maybe it was Harvester) but after a few weeks I gave up and sold them and never went back. Still yet to finish the Grenade Launcher Legend trial :rofl: :rofl:

honestly i dont think they really suck, they are the easiest to take out at least in my experience.

nomads have ALWAYS been a major pain in the ass. their mgs do ridiculous damage. when i was fighting them in the raid they would NOT stop targeting me AT ALL. in the very beginning of the raid both my plows were gone and i was down to 100 hp… IN THE VERY FUCKEN BEGINNING OF THE RAID!!! they took out over 800 hp from my plows in seconds and took out 1100 hp from me in a few seconds to. i always said the damage output from enemies was ridiculous but this just proves my point even more. i mean yeah my build is a howl build but still thats a stupid amount of damage to take in the very beginning of a fricken medium raid!

yeah i know this and i think its fucken stupid that they did that. raids should be random not both mashed together.

i love mandrakes and they are one of my favorite weapons. i really hope the next mini pass has something to trade for one cause i want to get another to compliment the one i currently have. im good at aiming them but the aiming controls for arching weapons like incinerators, jotuns and mandrakes are so screwy…

i still have my retchers and like Rick Astley i can never give them up. heh sorry xD
still i love my retchers, i just suck ass with them. the only thing i have to say is that in pve bots CONSTANTLY target me with them. idc how many allies i have around me if a retcher bot sees me it comes after me like i just pissed in its cheerios. like… i have absolutely no idea why the fuck retcher bots target me so incredibly heavily but it gets REALLY irritating…

Player base… probably not enough to support 5 different raids now.

2 mandrakes in this raid, me and Pierre… think that’s the difference between good and merely average, maybe he just had a bad match because the try hard noob was sat on the hill with autocannons, I’ve learned how the raiders move when these morons are about. (and before people whine, like “eeeuuu the raid takes les time if you’re on the hill.”… No it doesn’t, took 15 minutes because everyone was chasing raiders around the map like retards instead of them just coming down the hill and getting smashed by artillery!)
