so… i said my camera was snapping back before and its doing it again this time. i went into my settings to see if anything was off and i checked the AA system they have in there and its set to off. so i tried doing some experiments in the garage to see if i could replicate what happened in the matches and… it works in the garage to.
so i would have the camera at the default position, looking straight ahead and id very gently tilt the stick to the left or right panning the camera and it would go that way, but when id stop it would 90% of the time snap in the direction it was coming from. now i tested this in other games and it wouldnt do this, so i know my controller isnt the problem. does anyone have any idea why its doing this? its REALLY screwing me over in pve and making me miss my shots on enemies. im thinking that its server lag or something of that sort but im not to sure. anyone else have any idea??
Are you moving while doing these experiments, or standing still?
And are you using strafing parts, or non-strafing?
And can you grab some video of this so that we can dissect it a bit closer?
I’ve noticed that in races the camera will gradually return to the direction you are driving, but haven’t noticed that in normal matches.
I also noticed something like this when testing the various aim assist settings, and realized it was more about the camera remaining stationary regardless of where I was driving, which gave the illusion that it was being tugged in various directions.
Not saying any of that explains what you are experiencing, just that we need more data.
Screenshots of your settings would also be useful, so that we could attempt to recreate your exact situation.
standing still.
bigfoot wheels only.
i cant really cause its on ps4.
i have aim assist off completely. i dont use it and i wont ever use it. i tried it with a different controller but the controller i used was not a ps4 controller by sony. so it was alot more sensitive then my original ps4 controller. the one i was using at the time was my ps4 controller made by sony.
also i want to try my other controller but my controls are far to sensitive, im wondering if i can adjust the sensitivity on it…
i never even touched my settings before except to turn off aim assist long ago. my settings have pretty much been the exact same ever since. this only started happening after the update from what i recall…
i think it MIGHT be my controller?? … this third party controller is really wonky and very sensitive… i got this mainly for pc but on ps4 its practically unusable.
Why do you keep creating the same topic all the time, we get it you’re camera/controller is having some issues…
sorry…
also something weird is going on, i did the kaiju brawl and my camera was working just fine. it wasnt snapping back or anything. weird eh?
I tried a third party controller a little while ago and the sensitivity was unusable in Crossout. Gave it to my stepdaughter to use for some of her fighting games and she likes it.
i think i mightve found out what it was. my controller was having drifiting issues soooooo yeaaaaah… gotta replace it. im gonna try repairing it in the future by getting soldering stuff and soldering on a new potentiometer thingy inside. i opened it up and did a thurough cleaning but it still has some issues so it definitely is due to the inside being messed up. i never soldered anything before but i am stupid careful with my electronics so i think i can do it.
both sides have drift so yeah… im just gonna order a new one.
