When I drive any strafing parts, I feel like I do most of my steering through strafing, and just use turning to pivot while strafing.
If I just steer, I find hovers hard to control, and the turning radius far too wide on augers/legs/omniwheels.
In some cases, strafing in the opposite direction of your turn helps, but at this point it’s become muscle memory, so I’m not even sure when I do that vs strafing in the direction of the turn.
Don’t think I am some great hover player btw. I am not.
I never learned to play hovers. I learned to play Augers first in CW’s.
When I finally got 4 hovers it was hard because they were so responsive. Lots of changes since then.
