Remove 4 mans from PVP

This is not the case with XO.

If you hit with one MG round do 50 damage or you drop 4 porcs on someone doing 2000, you get the same kill count.

This is why KD in Crossout is a joke. You don’t have to be good to get a high KD, you just need to play weapons that touch everyone in a match.

You’re absolutely right… I momentarily forgot that’s how XO counts kills. In that case, having any spray & pray weapon works wonders. When there’s a challenge where you have to kill or assist killing X number of players, I just load up a couple of miniguns & autocannons & go to town spraying bots in Patrol. LOL You’ll get 8 per victory.

I thought everyone knows that assists are also counted in xo k/ds  looks like not, but actually who cares about xo k/ds? I know some ppl who are playing only patrol with reapers and their k/ds is so fake
good that you cleared this issue up

Its not even k/d, because they dont divide by deaths.

It’s a stat that truly doesnt matter. Although someone did mention that very low K/Ds are very telling. If youre under 2, youre probably cannon fodder most every match.

Playing in a 4 man running goofy builds.

That’s more my speed… Metas are great & all, but c’mon… if I got killed by something silly, that’s even more entertaining than killing someone while using a meta.

I’m kinda ashamed to say that after 26k battles, pretty much no patrol or group, Yaoguais are somehow making my k/d raise from 3.59 :joy: :muscle: :robot:

My Flawless rate also prob increased 40000% or something like that probably because I spent 26k battles mercillessly ramming opponents while honking, but still

First off this is an epic quote. Yolo! Fun times

Side note: (not really direct at you, but on the same subject)

Weapon selection makes a big difference for KD in this game.

Also your mind set makes a big difference - For example today I finally decided to get my challenge to earn fuel for the BP out of the way…. I hate running tanks, so the challenge was just sitting there.

I pulled a few pieces of armor off one of my builds and slapped both fuel tanks right out the back side of my hover build.

So now, I didn’t just have to win, but I had to not die. I completed the challenge in 4 games, it was not hard to stay alive. It was harder to keep the tanks on my build lol. But because I was focused I was really kicking ass.

So, to make a very long story short, I was playing serious and not my normal drink a few beers, puff puff and charge in with guns a-blazing.

So play style and weapon choice make a big impact on KD and badges. But it’s still not a good indicator of skill. It’s more an indicator that the person plays weapons or play-styles that generate more hits on more targets in a match.

I agree with your point. In fact, I’ll sometimes go out of my way to bonk some dying dude for 30 damage while shooting someone else, just to get that cheesy +1 assist :joy: Never really played MGs, so I don’t know the feeling of tapping everybody for 3 dmg at the start of a match U_U

I’m surprised fuel tanks made you play better tho. I tend to skip them just because I hate getting instakilled by a ram, but with Yaos it’s tolerable I guess >.> I caught myself playing to save my fuel rather than to win at times, and felt the fuel tank was making me lose some matches I could have won otherwise (Self-Destruct dealt way more damage back then)

Also OP should rename his thread “Off-topic” at this point :eyes:

Yeah I see your point here.

In most cases fuel tanks might promote people to play it safe and not engage the enemy as much.

In my case I was more concerned with positioning and staying alive VS just trying to earn fuel. I still wanted to kick butt  so I was still up In it, just not as deep as normal. Because I stayed alive longer I touched more people.

Many times when I’m playing I will see an opening where I know I’m going to drop 1-2 key players (I’m sure on your platform you know the dudes that have to die fast for you to win), but I know many times their death is also going to cost me my life. I will weight my death to the people I’m going to kill and take my shot. Killing the right few guys right at a key point in a match will make you win. So I’ll have games where I might die first but I know the move I made turned the tides of the game.

When I was playing with fuel, I did not take those opportunities, if that makes sense.

I definitely makes sense lol. I’ve had games since 2.0 with temps where I roflstomped 4-5 ground targets, just to watch a solo hover demolish the rest of my (inept) team. Sometimes 1 kill >>> 5 kills.

Honestly outside of a couple names that made me sigh because of obvious aimbot (they’ll recognize themselves, the trigger fuckheads of a year ago), I don’t pay much attention to the enemy team’s players. Builds tho… yeah.

So very true…
These are also the guys to learn from after you’re dead.

Early on, I’d watch dudes 1 v 6 a match & win after I was very much dead… studying how they managed it.

Always moving, being patient, setting up their enemies, timing reloads etc… This is the type of thing you rarely see sub 12k, and almost never at sub 8k. Maybe that’s also part of why I like playing lighter builds. I’m going against crappy players. :joy: :poop: :see_no_evil: :hear_no_evil: :speak_no_evil:

That’s the right mindset with these games, sadly XO doesn’t encourage it that much. I remember spending 80% of my time playing CS watching the first 3 months or so because I was dead lol.

Today a group of three hovers playing at 4k PS told me to suicide after dying 30s into the game and leaving me 1v7. They watched my sealclubby Yaoguai ass run around the map for a minute :joy:. Sry guys, just don’t die if you want to play. Besides, I can’t afford to die I have fuel tanks on my rig :skull:

I’m never leaving the match if I still have guns and sometimes not even then because I have won matches without guns before.

But there is a point when you know it’s lost and I’ll blow up.

But I love those 1v7s even if you only get one or two dudes it’s highly satisfying. Also who knows, those 7 guys could all be messed up and all you have to do is play clean-up.

I no longer play for the rewards, I play for my enjoyment only. I couldn’t care less if someone has to wait… the longest it can be is 5min right?

And like you said “Don’t die”
