I was reading General chat (which is usually a mistake, but still) and people were talking about a new 11 energy generator and some kind of teaser?? I looked it up in google and didn’t find much, other than an image…
I have no idea where this came from, but there appears to be a Mars cabin next to it??
Can someone tell me what is happening or why I can’t find this “teaser”?? Is this even a real thing from the Devs or did some guy just do it to spread misinformation??
I even looked into Reddit (something I almost NEVER do) and found the players calling it “Zeus”. Is that the actual name or is that something the players made up?
I can’t watch the video it wants me to sign up.

The first relic gen was already bad enough, but at the end of the day it was just 1 extra energy, you could barely live with that. But with this that’s 2 energies that you will never reach, and with those a lot more builds that undoubtedly are fun will be reachable.
And at the same time, really takes away so many things. What is the point in purchasing passes, you won’t have max energy ever. What is the point in getting new parts and guns, you won’t have max energy anyway. What is the point in playing in any high tier PS brackets, you won’t have the max energy anyway, and through that, what is the point in using legendary parts, you won’t get max energy anyway.
Good job devs this is by far the biggest blow to the game ever since the addition of the first ever relic generator and a very large nail in the coffin. This is as bad of a change as forcing 6V6 would be for me as far as I am concerned.
Well, no point in thinking what to save up my coins anymore really on some guaranteed fusion, I won’t have extra energy anyway. No need to grind resources, no need to play challenges, no need to really try much anything at this point. In fact this even outright undoes any possible future fixing of the game (highly unlikely) but even if they would do everything imaginable to change the many wrongs in this game, this thing would still exist, what would be the point.
I sincerely and from the bottom of my heart pray and hope for aneurysms and heart attacks upon everyone in charge of this game and all their families and friends : ) may your life be filled with setbacks and unhappiness for as long as you are forced to fumble about in life on this cursed planet and never find true happiness in any shape or form in this life or any future ones just in case the buddha people were right about reincarnation, and in case an afterlife exists, hope it’s shit as well for you guys, from the bottom of my heart

What i hate in this 11 energy gen is that it completely breaks the game.
You see, odin (10 energy) wasn’t too bad. You could live without it, and it only made certain fun setups worth it (like, three hammerfalls, three shredders etc) - so, three 11 energy weapons.
This generator gives 11 energy, and with 25 max cab energy, you can get 36 total energy. What’s 36 total energy? Three 12 energy weapons. This is cool but it WILL break the game, as 12 energy weapons weren’t meant for 3-weapon setups.
Fighting thriple scorpio / typhoon / mastodon wouldn’t be fun. Like, at all. Don’t even get me started on three cust. elephants or sovereigns.
I think the devs understand the need to keep the game growing, but unfortunately, for 95% of the players who won’t be able to afford the gen, this is not it. The chasm between the haves and have-nots grows wider.
A new gen is not needed. They could simply allow multiple generators on a build, and set a maximum on the combined power they could put out (so you couldn’t have 2 apollos, for instance). Will we have to go through another string of rebalancing efforts to account for the new issues this gen might cause?
Personally, I’d rather see the devs spend time creating a new campaign, using new maps; something like the Adventure, but geared towards long-time players. I already have enough weapons, modules, movement parts and cabins to amuse me forever. All that’s missing is the ability to tie balloons to your car so you can float way up in the sky.
I’d rather see the devs figure out how to retain new players instead of flinging out wierd structural parts or inventing new factions that serve no purpose. A new player gets repeatedly trampled by some cannibal running a scorp in a low-ps mission, while all he’s got is a jeep with 2 machine guns. He gets demoralized and never comes back. Surprise, surprise.
And while I’m at it, enough with the stickers as a reward. Enough with bland-looking paints. Who needs 6 cans of “midnight” paint, or twenty shades of grey? Who needs a sticker showing Wu and Ling dancing together? Forget the new gen and let people sell off the stickers and duplicate paints. Force the market bots to buy them all up.

Wow 36 energy with the right light cabin and this new gen. Scary!
I doubt I’ll ever get this generator, and probably won’t ever get an Odin either, but I’m not too worried about them being added to the game.
Unless you’re playing high PS, you are unlikely to encounter them. And if you are playing high PS, you’re already going up against some very expensive builds.
The big thing these generators do allow for more variety at the high end, which is needed IMO. The main reason I rarely play high PS is that there isn’t enough variety, and matches are too predictable.
Having said that, I can see this generator potentially causing problems in CW. But I would argue that CW has already been problematic for years, but that’s a different thread.
Dunno, i think this gen will cost ~20k same as odin.
Though… I guess devs can make it more expensive because it is “heavy” gen and odin is already really cheap comparing to other relics.
I wonder how much it will weight.
I just counted that thor is 2.2 times heavier than gasgen and odin is 2.2 times heavier than thor.
So i can guess that difference between apollo and new gen could be the same as difference between bootstrap and apollo. Apollo is 1.5 times heavier than bootstrap, so i can guess that this can be the same for new gen, making it weighting 1152kg×1.5=1728kg.
Yeah thats just a prediction counting difference between previous gens
