Runes & yeti stealth

Yeti stealth duration was a lovely addition to the game, for wallets and higher level players, say, og’s, already in a position to stack them on release.
Then as a added bonus, they have Rune modules to muliply stealth duration by a gazillion minutes.
Meanwhile, the original Chameleon stealth module gets nothing?
Seems to me, to be a release to gain back a lost stealth advantage for top players.
I didnt check for old topics on this topic. Sorry if that breaks with your expectations that i find a previous post on this topic boo hoo

I’m pretty neutral on the yeti, sure it gives longer stealth but because it’s 3 energy it usually also needs the Odin to be used so yeah, wallet warriors can stay in stealth longer with money, but they also need to pay even more to have the yeti to usually do it, compared to just using a Chamelon 2 on a build you’d otherwise put a yeti into

On the other hand Yeti is the only way to have a proper stealth using slow and tanky heavy build, but heavy builds in general are not good, and any high speed stealth build like as a raw example lances, is already so fast that the Chameleon 2 is good enough for a 1-hit wonder type of a build

Remember i said, it serves best higher level players especially og players, who are positioned well to stack these things. Then it benefits the wallets, who are also higher level players and og whales, would you agree.
And yet, Chameleon gets nothing, NOTHING aye?
Thats not fair. Its an obvious release i think, to gain back the stealth advantage lost by high levels, as more and more new players gained and upgrade their Chameleons…in my astute opinion.
Chameleon 1 & 2 both deserve Rune2 module for extra gazillion minutes of stealth too.

Yeti is one of the most OP Things added. Unlimited cloaking.
All dog builds got 2-5x better. Tritons especially.
I refuse to be neutral when it comes to OP P2W things we can’t craft.
Best possible outcome is to Make it so regular players could craft Yeti ETC, but that’ll never happen.

No it probably wont, because that would mean high levels would lose the stealth advantage again, and high levels include developer and admin players.
All the new op weapons released are for high level players benefits first, then the wallet kings and queens, in my astute opinion, they are not beneficial to new low level players, indeed very opposite.
Thank you for your interest

Odin? Yeti doesnt need odin to be used? Odin lovers, are prime yeti candidates and probably the biggest fans of yeti use, because it falls into their price range, and right now, those fans are trying their best to hike up the rune1 market price.

the only way now to get yeti is from event passes  or high price on the market.
Maybe if the short event passes gave good value… It’d be worth buying.
It’s a must have item for fighting hovers, but even then half of hovers can detect invis.
Any dog build \ any build that has to get close… Yeti is mandatory.
Shame really.
One day the price will drop. But i’ll probably not have the coin :skull:

Yeti is overkill, and rune1 added is just opp.
A reasonably able player only needs a Chameleon 2 to acheive close attack. Was before yeti, still is.
Yeti is just for hiding longer, or more often in a match, quite an unnecessary advantage in my opinion.
The main use and benefit of the Yeti is, its use against other yeti.

I have a serious issue with it being so big lol.
I prefer the Mark 1 cloak tbh.
But yeah you are right, yeti isn’t mandatory.
But without it you need high speed and decent luck.
I swear me personally. Sneaking up on hovers is so hard lol. Probably because I only had a few fused light cabs.

Speed and luck requirements, were components before yeti

That’s what I normally use too.

I have the same issue on most of my small builds, it just doesn’t fit lol.

I use it every now and then and have 1 rune1 I don’t really think it’s OP though. If it didn’t have the slow decloak time and the penalty for early deactivation along with the cooldown period I’d probably agree that it is. When I use the mark1 cloak I tend to actually go in and out of cloak more than I do with the Yeti… The spot where I found I can get a lot of use out of the Yeti is on slower builds where the extra time comes in handy via speed to distance issues.

i say Yeti should work different with light medium and heavy cabs.
Heavy cabs should get more from yeti as an example
Not exactly sure what could be implemented tho.

It would just use a logic statement looking at the cab type and then list the conditions as and if else types of statements.

I would say I get more from yeti on a heavy cab though already. On a lighter cab I don’t generally even need it.

I’m not convinced cloaking is treated right to start with though. You can easily cheese out a badge just from spraying the battle field down. It probably would be better if it was treated like a force field with a dmg threshold for decloaking. i.e 1 shot might not take it sown from a DPS weapon but a cannon shot might. It would make cloaking a little stronger but at the same time the PS rating for it could be higher too.

Why? Because theyre generally slow acceleration?

Probably but they do that already by default by letting you select the amount of time. A slow beast of a build uses just as much as a fast build it just doesn’t move as far.
