Because a lot of people and even big content creators missunderstand the new gamemode, im here to make things clear.
This isnt just some OG Crossout, its an competitive Game Mode and your Matchmaking does not care about your Powerscore! it only cares about the Rank your in.
To balance that Crossout made it that the sum of the Powerscores of both Teams are as similar as possible: So if 2 Players on 10k join the match while the others are at 2-4k they will always end up in different teams. (I dont know how exactly Crossout balanced all that because the Powerscore difference still can be huge sometimes… but at least Crossout is trying, so lets hope its gonna be better soon)
Then we gotta talk about the thing Crossout DID NOT ballanced properly!
We all know that if you use Epic parts you risk your Spare Parts so after some matches you will either gain or loose some.
but what if i told you that you can get extremely rich AND rank up at the same time…
dont use epic parts att all!!!
Yes, thats right: I am in the 500 and most of my process came from the 3k Vector build from the battle pass, now I have 12.000 Spare Parts and i can do whatever i want.
So what we also should be complaining about is the Pay 2 Win in this game.
There is LITERALLY a f****ng Battle Pass in an competitive gamemode so the ones who pay have way better chances than the ones who dont pay.
But Again! Crossout knew it and kinda tried to ballance that by not adding some good parts at the battle pass workbench (where you can craft epic items that dont break).
And dont even get me started on the Legendary cabin from the battle pass.
But in the ends we can say that its still alright, cause the ones who pay arent automatically top 1 right?
Yes, paying is not winning, its about having fun!
Dont Forget, In this mode you have easy access to a lot of old but good parts, let new players have their fun buying thinks they usually cant afford! Even if its all competitive… HAVE FUN EXPERIMENTING!!!
And I wish all of the OGs out there a good time experiencing Old Crossout again.
So thats just my opinion, let me know what you all think about the Rust and Dust gamemode,
I hope this post helped you (i wrote it on controler and my english is not that good, probably a lot of mistakes in here).
Thats it, bye
oh yes, its so FUN to have my 1.7k starter build instantly turned to ash by someone in an 8 - 9k car with epics mowing down my entire team for 10 rounds in a row causing me to not get any wins to contribute to the 6 wins i need. SO FUN AM I RIGHT!? /s
We dont know if he spent money on the game or not because being at 9k isnt a pay 2 win thing, you can also get spare parts very easily and buy epic stuff BY YOUR SELF! Just win a few matches and you can have the same build as him, Whats the problem?! But be aware that you and every other player using epic parts risk your spare parts, and you can end up with 0 again. (one thing from my text was wrong though: epic parts cant get undestructable, because the parts you craft on the battle pass workbench and the legendary cabin from the pass are not for rust in dust, they will be added to your garage in crossout. So there is no pay to win)
Rust and dust is broken beyond repair whichever side has the most 9-10k builds win. Its not even fun at that points as the 10k can manhandle the entire enemy team solo .
yes there actually is.
buddy, you can literally go in, buy the pass, and max out the rewards day one.
if you max out the pass you not only GET the blueprints in the pass WITH all the parts listed in there but you also get enough resources to CRAFT the other epic parts as well. so yes, this IS PAY TO WIN.
I am having a really hard time following your argument here.
Those parts are temporary, and you can lose them all in one match. Why would anyone spend $200 to get a bunch of parts they’ll lose in one day? Especially when any free-to-play player can also get them in one day of playing?
Getting them quicker is no advantage, as it’s already quick to get them for free.
I guess you could argue that unlocking the structure parts early gives you an advantage, but I haven’t seen any meta builds relying on those parts.
not if your opponents are all 1.7k and your sitting at 9k.
also you can rebuild them. they are not gone forever once you lose them, you can repair them and take it out again.
why dont you ask the whales?
its obvious, the sweaty try hards want to get to first place and hog all the rewards, they also want an ego trip so they max out their builds to try to make matches easier for them to destroy others.
they want to spend 200 dollars to have that advantage, and it wont matter if thei builds get destroyed because theyll have all the things needed to repair them right away from buying max level in the pass.
LOL not to the same degree that a pay to win player can.
yes it is.
getting them quicker means they go through the ranks quicker because its less competition. what 1.7k build is going to stand a chance against a 9k build with epic weapons and strong cabins, wheels, etc?
they only care about what weapons do the most damage.
why yes, i have. have you not seen my posts about it?
i have been put on a losing team so damn much that i quit playing the mode.
i got put onto a losing team more times then i actually won. now i get that i cant win every match but when you been put into matches that 45 / 50 of your matches are complete losses due to the enemy having 9ks while your team has 4ks and lower it gets to a point where i give up. i will not subject myself to some sweaty try hards who outrank and out damage my team over and over and over again just to get my ass handed to me constantly. i am not someone punching bag and i am not someones guinea pig that they can use and abuse. the matchmaking is unfair and thats all there is to it.
I just play enough of R&D to complete the daily missions; losing doesn’t irk me as long as I do enough damage to make the mission count.
The highest PS build I’ve built is in the 4000’s; not going to invest too much into a temporary event. Any weaponry I would be interested in acquiring requires more spark plugs than I have or expect to get. Besides, I’m actually enjoying playing lower-ps cars in this mode anyway.
A few things that I feel like you aren’t getting about how this event is structured:
Even with every BP blueprint unlocked, you still don’t have most of the parts you’d need for any of the main meta builds. Paying to unlock them won’t get you a winning build.
I played for half an hour today on an all-rare build (growl, racing wheels, sledgehammers). That gave me enough spare parts to make a much better build than you could make with the BP blueprints (Goliaths, Ice Box, Gas Gen, 5x tacklers, Golden Eagle). I still had lots of spare parts left over. Half an hour of free-2-play will get you a much better build than dropping $200 to get every level of the BP.
Crafting the items costs the same as repairing them. Unlocking a blueprint doesn’t give you any more access to a part than crafting it.
All the parts are already unlocked, whether you buy the BP or play for free.
You don’t earn spare parts faster if you pay.
A high PS build will usually earn more spare parts per match, but a losing match will cost you far more than you will earn, eventually forcing you back down to a low PS build. This will happen just as easily whether you spend money or not.
I understand that you had a losing streak when you tried the mode. It happens to me too, especially when playing during less busy times when you can get stuck in a queue against the same group over and over (or just bad luck).
I know you probably think I’m just making excuses for the game, but this is genuinely the least P2W mode in the game, other than ones with preset blueprints. The advantage you think is coming from people buying all the levels of the BP is just people who’ve figured out the metas of the mode and have played enough to amass a good stockpile of spare parts for repairs.
you are obviously gaslighting me with this response and im not replying anymore.
if you are REALLY this blind then no amount of explaining will make you see anything differently poony.
have fun thinking this way cause your not getting anymore replies from me on this.
Holdup, there’s players actually complaining as they use the starter build? You can hit 6k with blue parts alone. I’m the 9k build that gets stuck with a bunch of 3k builds as I go clear the enemy team of its fodder and their 9k clears my teams fodder. Then we have a 1v1 as the only players who cared to make their own build. Guess how much I’ve spent? ZERO. I’m not buying a mode pass for a half baked mode where the players can’t seem to figure out that you need to make builds. Seriously what do you think they gave us all those slots for? Experiment. Stop hiding in the back of the map. You lose NOTHING trying different blue builds. I lose my entire build, but that doesn’t stop me from charging straight in. Figure it out…… *I will say it’s beyond a shame that there is no exhibition, because it looks like most of yall need to be spoon fed builds…… in a game about building cars……………………………… but omg my subs would be going UP (please give us exhibition)
I’m sorry you feel this way, and I wish there was some way I could explain what I’m trying to say that doesn’t make it seem like I’m gaslighting you.
I swear that everything I’m posting is genuine. It’s possible that I’m missing something, but I’ve been pretty much only playing this mode since it launched, and I feel pretty confident that I understand how it works.
The big higher PS builds that are dominating matches are just not the result of people buying BP levels, and that is the honest truth.
You can’t even get Goliaths or Meat Grinders from the BP blueprints, and those are the dominant movement parts in this mode. Likewise, the dominant weapons are also not in the BP blueprints. And the crates are mostly for the main game, not this mode.
The matches do have a different dynamic that takes a bit of getting used to. Staying near your team is even more important, and it’s especially important to keep track of the high PS players on your team and the enemy’s team. If you’re playing a lower PS car, you want to let the tanks on your team soak up the damage and make sure you’re backing them up. And if you’re the high PS build, you don’t want to get separated from your team and surrounded by enemies. But if you keep that in mind, you can have fun in either role.
first: you do NOT get everything with the battlepass, however, you can unlock everything by shoving tons of money into it right off the bat where as a ftp or someone who isnt paying for the battlepass has to WAIT to finish the missions.
so whats the issue?
simple. the person who does the missions earns stuff far slower then someone outright buying the pass, meaning they dont get access to those epics that the paying person does. on top of this you get scrap parts from buying the pass meaning you can build these other overpowered parts right off the bat. MEANING they can outclass and out damage you right off the bat.
so YES, IF YOU PAY FOR THE PASS YOU HAVE AN ADVANTAGE. IT IS THE DEFINITION OF PAY TO WIN! it doesnt matter if you can get these items and whatnot as you play, the fact here is these players who paid have an advantage over everyone else. how the hell do you not see this as an issue?!
also: they are not going to lose parts in a 1.7 - 4k ps match if they are 9k and demolishing everything in their paths. even if they did lose one or two parts who cares? they make enough to repair and go on their their days like it never happened.
you don’t see a contradiction here?
it isn’t pay to win if you can obtain the item in question in a resonable amount of time/effort without putting any money in. you can make a decent 4 epics (3 joules+catalina) build in, like, first hour of playtime or so? adding all the rare parts too since you also need spares to craft them.
Dont add an exhibition!!! Otherwise very bad players and any other players can copy some very meta stuff paying almost nothing. But ur right with the 6k build, i assume your build is like MASSIVE otherwise you wont be able to reach 6k. I think they should do heavier parts expensive and light ones cheap, because the big guys are always dominating, it wouldn’t do much of a big change to the blue parts, so youll be safe with your strat, but when it comes to epic parts its gonna switch the meta completely, players would start using lighter builds, because: light build → low price, high risk. heavy build → high risk, low price.
