Rust and Dust numbers

I was just looking at the console leaderboard for this week’s Rust and Dust rankings, and I noticed that 17 357 players have scored above 1000 this week, so does that mean all of them have actually played this week?
If so, that’s actually more than I would have thought were playing the mode.

The total players is 23 587, and I’m wondering if that’s the total for console players who have played any Crossout, or for only those who’ve tried Rust and Dust previously, but haven’t this session?

What do the PC leaderboard numbers look like?

On pc the last on the leaderboard is number 25372.

I also haven’t played it much, so I have a dash where my place should be and a question mark by my score.

Because of this, I think the leaderboard is only those who have played, and there’s likely more players unaccounted for.

That’s weird that it displays like that. Even when I scroll to the last place people on the console leaderboard they all have a 1000 score, as well as their ranking.

I did pretty good this week:

Keep in mind that “at least one match” is a bad metric. “1000 score” means “you’ve played 1 match and lost”. In the first match, you get anywhere between +30 to +60 depending on your performance. Basically anyone under 1200 had played less than 5 matches

To be honest about it, I play the 2 required matches simply to receive the daily badges. Then not again until rest the next day. If it weren’t for the badges I wouldn’t bother with it at all.

I played the mode a few times to get a few purple part crates to the actual main game, but now I look at how long it would take for the next crate and I just kinda haven’t touched the mode at all

Probably never will

Wait, so that means the thousands of people with 1000 score actually did play, and aren’t old dormant accounts?

I mean, I know those are still not big numbers compared to mainstream games, but that’s still better than I assumed Crossout was going overall, let alone just for a weird extra mode like this.

Is there any way to quickly determine current players in the main game?

Unique player count? No, but as far as i know Crossout on PC has about ~3-5k average CCU. So 25k unique weekly player count isn’t crazy

I would assume there are more people playing normal Crossout than Rust and Dust, and apparently you guys have more than 25k people just on the R&D leaderboard.
