Sea battle

surprisingly its not bad. the only thing i find unfair though is at the beginning… you tend to get spawned into the middle of the entire enemy team… ask me how i know!

but overall its fun. hell i was in a 4v1 and took out all 4 players by myself. i was running in the boat with the autocannon machinegun and a swarm, hell i was owning people lol.

i like this mode, its to bad its temporary cause id play it more. cant wait to get the last 2 rewards in the list though, the sailing wheel and the box at the end for a free expansion is gonna be a nice little treat to get. anyone else like this mode?

I haven’t seen one with a swarm… unless you mean the nest rockets?

The scoring is BS, easiest way to get kills is to shoot out hovers so they sink but you get FA points for it, getting kills is almost meaningless.

oh yeah god damn it i always get their names mixed up lol.

I also think they need to add more ammo to that one, I keep running out :sob:

Those are only three out of the 5 times I’ve run out (the other times I died before I could screenshot), and I’ve only played less than 25 battles.

i was running out constantly, in the heat of battle my guns wouldnt fire and id see that all my ammo was gone, my gun wouldnt even get shot off half the time and i would just be there all out of ammo. it was a problem… if they had unlimited ammo i think that might help but idk… even tap firing was using all my ammo quickly.

Yeah my favorite was the Auxiliary (the one with the nest and autocannon). It was the easiest for me to play. The rocket one wasn’t too bad, but the cannon boat was the hardest because I often miss with cannons (because the other guys won’t stand still, dammit).

I played mostly cannons cause I love long range fights. Running out of ammo is a real problem in this mode though. They should probably put infinite ammo in most brawls with premade builds.

i tried the cannons but didnt like them all that much, they were a bit tedious to aim for me but its probably cause i havent practiced a whole lot with the cannons that were equipped onto them.

agreed. even if they have to increase the cooling on them a little bit its better having infinite ammo then running out in the middle of a kill streak just to get your ass handed to you and have to respawn. i had a 5 kill streak before and ran out of ammo which was a bit disheartening, there is no ammo drops or anything so this is quite limited.

When I run out of ammo, I just self destruct and come back a few seconds later.

Then the enemy gets more points. They get points for kills and parts taken off.

Yeah, but what’s the point of just floating around waiting to be killed anyway, because I’m out of ammo? Better to sd when you’re empty, and get back in the game! :smiley:

I don’t disagree that in games with respawn running out of ammo is easily solved. But you lose all momentum. If you run out of ammo, usually you were on a rampage and have that stopped not by an enemy but just a very low ammo count is not great. pressing SD and waiting a few seconds to die then waiting a few more to respawn doesn’t take that long long but it feels long. All momentum is lost not because an enemy outplayed you but because you reached an arbitrary limit.

While I don’t think this mode is that great, I don’t dislike it at all either. The builds, while not the absolute best they could be, are still pretty good and somewhat balanced around each other pretty well. It does not feel a pain in the behind to play and even during infuriatingly one sided matches there is some fun to be had in getting lucky and blasting off icarus and watching an enemy sink

Only complaint I would have is the Nest, it’s absolutely useless for the most part and having a whole trio of rock/paper/scissors build around it (Nest/Argus/Chameleon) is kinda useless because the Nest is not really that big of a threat

yeah i find this to be really unfair… why put players on the opposite sides just for them to get unfairly destroyed at the start of a match? i think one of the devs hit the moonshine a bit to hard on that one… its really unfair to the players who are vastly out numbered.
