Shredder

I just tried the shredders, it’s a SG after all, right?
I came out of the test a bit without knowing what to think.
It seems i already have them, it’s called Cyclones, only i have a old skin .

This reskinned Cyclone also have the perk of the Arathron but without the impulse.

Also, could anyone tell me the difference between Parsers and Nigdhogg?

I also tested Arathrons, they are very tricky, but oh man that impulse

parsers have more range and focused shot when you charge them. nidhoggs are very VERY short range and can fire 3 shots at a time. though the shots on nidhoggs are the same as fafnirs… problematic… sometimes the shots do next to no damage. at times i lost alot of battles to bots and even players due to my weapons not doing any damage. the weapons are just awkward to use.

thank you.

np. the thing is with fafnirs / nidhoggs are people have been having issues with the guns for a while. tons of problems with hit boxes, them not dealing as much damage as they should.

parsers barely scrape around 35 - 40m when you just tap the trigger. they also have an absurdly high spread.
when you charge the parser though the shot is far more accurate and the shot can land a little over 150m so around 160 - 170m.

nidhoggs have a range of about… id say maybe 30 - 35m? they require you to be up close.
also they have better reload speed the higher your speed is.

just a little more info for you.

also shredders :poop: damage dude. like… wow do they do alot of damage…

Yeah single shot (3-shot nowdays) shotguns aren’t doing that great. Well, Fafnirs have never been very good, as I think they just have a bad perk in general. You basically need the perk to be active while shooting enemies from a very close range to do any damage, because of the overall max range of these kinds of shotguns. And then at 0 perk you just simply do not hit anything as not having the perk punishes the guns so much that you can be facehugging and do no damage. But the three-shot shotguns in general kinda end up with 1-2 hits per volley instead of all three connecting even if you’re facehugging

Parsers are pretty good because they’ve got ok range and bullet speed, and I’d say they’re the best shotguns widely available. Splits seem even better but they cost way too much, but those two are the best ones imo because they have really good accuracy and range

Shredders can be very good, but at the same time they can be very bad, especially because they have a sweet spot for maximum damage kinda like Arothrons do, and if your enemy gets too close to you or facehug distance, you do no damage. But if you have a mobile enough build to stay at a medium range from the enemy, or your enemy tries to run away from the shredders, they usually end up taking major damage. But at the same time, best way to counter shredders is to facehug the shredder build.

Overall I’d rate the shotguns in this kind of a way
Parser=Split > Shredder > Nidhog=Arothron > > > > Fafnir = Junkbow

Choice between single shots or shredders comes from which type of gun you prefer to play more, single push of button or holding down the firing button and keeping your aim on the enemy

i think it has to do with the way the shotgun shoots its ammo.
fafnir and nidhoggs both shoot 8 pellets in a pattern of
2 on top
1 below
2 below that
1 below that
2 below that.

it makes a weird pattern of firing and… idk its just weird how the pattern looks.
sometimes the bullets dont even do damage. fafnirs rely on you going fast to focus the pellets.
idk, whatever they did to fafnirs / junkbows / nidhoggs they messed them up pretty bad…

@Kohtupora2
yeah shredders…i already have them, it’s call cyclones…yeah…
No…and like the leech and tackler…with the absolute wrong perk, Like the outcast wheels, WTF perk is that? Just like those wheels if they touch anything loses the perk
I’m more Rupture kind of guy or goblins/gremlins, their perk is more of my liking
I also tried missiles.
Pyres, what the hell happened to them? i can’t hit nothing at 50/30 meters or less
Snowfalls they have a killer delay ( firing mechanics )
Nests…to slow to fire and not reliable
Swarms, inquisitors , didn’t like the fire mechanics
I did like Lucy
So, of the Jukbow family, you both are saying i’m better off with the Jukbow, no perk to rely on.
I really was considering one of the blunderbuss thingy to have some fun
The only Gatling gun I’m considering is the reaper and arbiter, the others are not satisfactory, the Reaper is the closest to an A-10
I’m yet to found out my next weapon…

thank you both

I’ve had some luck using the spread reduction modules on various shotguns.
It’s worth a try if you’re struggling with them.

Pyres arc upwards when launched. You could either jack up the back of the build to lower their initial trajectory, or mount them sideways so they launch level with the ground.

you mean with the junkbow family?

On that front
I’m considering going back to basics, to apply what i know to a distant past, now i’m considering strait junkbows like the ones i once had in my first time around before i went back to warships, before my Defender, when my builds didn’t have a name

Yes i will try with modules, maybe this will be the easiest option before perks complicate what i pretend what my build could accomplish, apparently either perk ( fafnir and nidghogg) will undermine it’s purpose.
I’m not inspired by SGs of today, an easy way out would be Tritons…but no, that would be too easy.
Only by the lack of options i’m considering Parser as a valid option, i always thought they were a aberration…
Arathrons all of the suddenly are appealing that recoil.

Compiler, squall will probably be two of my next close range builds, i’m even considering making a build without weapons just for superiority matches, and that’s the problem, everything outside superiority matches will suck.

I will have to rework my gremlin build, i have to do a small tweak to my rupture build ( that will be huge.
Alas…

@The_Purple_Snit

Snowfall …e.g.
I have to try with starter modules to see…
