Ok I really hate that skinner cabble snaps now when you use Drivers its seems to break alot even on used on small builds.I thought the timer hold was 7 seconds it seems shorter to me did they nerf that to?

It’s been overall nerfed to the ground, to the point that meelee builds no longer use a skinner to stay glued to your own build, but boosters/better power and top speed and the wedge/pushing mechanics where you just turn into a sliding paperweigth if an enemy keeps driving into you

This is bullcrap! you know i like using fun builds to fight ect but when a build is to slow and needs to relie on it D:< why do the devs have to mess up stuff like that! I do undertsnd people abuse weapons ect…

because skinners used to be broken. back then you could hold onto someone infinitely which was incredibly unfair. on top of this i also think they were nerfed into the ground because of battlewalkers. people just shove melee junk onto their walker and boost right into people or hook them and melee them to death. its really irritating to deal with, one time a team had a bunch of melee battlewalkers and one guy was chasing me like a fat guy chasing an ice cream cone running away from him. he had a skinner to i believe… or one of the enemy team did… anyways im glad the skinners been nerfed into the ground. not so much for kapkans though.

What the game needs is a module that detaches all stuff attached to the car.

I understand the infinit grab but back in the day we used to have to shoot them off XD. but some people dont abuse the weapons but alot of stuff is being abused probbly why alot of stuff being nerfed.

You would think the daze would i mean it stops most weapons it could detach and disable the skinner.

uhhh yeah they DID abuse it alot, especially in clan wars. my team lost MANY matches that we shouldve won because of a damn skinner build my team mate would have guns left and the enemies would be stripped but one would have a skinner, well he would skinner my team mate and pin him to a wall or something, then one would capture the base or just let time run out and force a draw. it was havily abused because it didnt have a time limit on it or anything.

people will whine about anything these days, especially weapons being overpowered.

I remember the old skinners, they would not pull in enemies and were much more fun.
You could have one mounted at the rear of your car and swing people around into walls and stuff until they exploded.
ah the good old days.

I use my quad-skinners for terrain climbing with my spooder car. When one reloads the others don’t attach to vehicles for as long as they should. On the bright side, they stay on terrain infinitely, so I can climb nicely.

i dont have a skinner myself but if you attach onto a surface, like a mountain side or a building, does it have a timer on it before it lets go?

on the map ect no but enemy players yes

It’s too bad, i kinda relied on the other guy skinner to kill him, once, not long ago i posted some screenshots illustrating just that.
today happened twice in a game, a walker with boosters snatched me, he went for the ride of his live, twice i kill him for free ( almost no damage taken )
Melee build, the majority of them i fail to ram i give any extremity of my build to entertain them while i shoot directly to their cab and normally i come out with a limp and their scalp, i even push over team mates from their “fangs” to put my build to be chewed up, those times i lose the engagement ( normally against heavies , they go back to their team mates to give them their orb
As long i don’t get intercept by a heavy build they can harpoon me at their heart’s content, some of them end up being dragged by me.
I’m not the heaviest within any class but i’m among the heaviest in any class i play, that’s an important factor to win the upper hand or even to help a team mate to push him out of being under fire while i provide some body armour ( i can do that against certain weapons ).

One of the downsides is every time there’ a change i’m always scrambling for being beneath the limit

I just hope skinner receives a little buff, i don’t want them to release too early

Shes one of my fave builds but drivers run out of boost to fast so i have to rely on skinner 2 remedys at that ps is meh…I really hate when the cable snaps when i try to pull large builds but it seems to snap on lighter builds to :unamused: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I don’t really understand the need to nerf things past a certain point where they stop to be useful and be more a liability than everything else

Yes, but Sexy dragon has a point
And you don’t need to abuse the mechanics, you just have to be creative like the horizontal Mandrakes ( very difficult to use, to point with good effect but the pay off was amazing, reaper heli and so on.)
then somewhere down the road a guy in his garage sees that some parts and some weapons can only be mounted one way and one way alone and that’s BS
