So about the blueprints

I like the new UI. It might feel more complex, but that’s because it’s more feature-rich. They now have the option to replace analogue parts without having to rebuild the blueprint, so if you do some cheaper fusions or apply a CK that streamlines the process a bit.

But…

They gave us two blueprint slots for free… but not two slots for the exhibition. So now, you’ve got two more slots in your garage than the exhibition.

Anyone else notice this? Is it just a bug on my end?

Yep, I noticed it too. Not really complaining; two free slots are two free slots (actually 4, with the 2 that were removed from the main screen). I use my exhibit slots as extra bp storage for builds I use less often, as opposed to intentionally “exhibiting” anything.

Overall, I have no problems with the new process, except maybe when I want to switch cars around between the slots; it’s a bit more involved now. Before all this, if you wanted to switch cars between 2 slots, you would move the first car to a free slot, and the second car to where the first car was, then empty out the slot where the second car was. Now you have to unlock both cars first (optional), replicate as opposed to copy, which could put the car into a different slot than you intended, relock them (optional), then clear out the second slot. Not a major hardship.

The one thing that annnoys me is, every time I want to check on the status of my leviathan, first I have to load the car into the garage first, instead of just clicking on it from the main screen. Again, not a major harsdhip, just annoying.

They could’ve just given us the 2 free blueprint slots without fucking up the whole system. What extra features do we really have? None! Honestly, when you really think about it what can we do now that we couldn’t do before? And don’t say “put whatever blueprints you want on the garage area” because that’s BS, you could do that anyway. Anyone with a half a brain figured out long ago that replacing the leviathan or heli slot with a normal build did exactly the same thing. The only thing you can now do is put 3 heli’s or 3 leviathans down which tbh is a very niche need anyway.

My irritation is this:
Today I went to the garage and started a new build by basically going into build and then deleting the old one, basically I made a brand new build in place of the old one which I’ve always done. Took it for a test drive ect and then quit the game. Came back in and it had overwritten my old build without asking instead of using a free slot and when I went to save, basically right click on said free slot to save it wouldn’t let me even do that. All I could do was ctrl S and save it in exactly the slot where it already was.
The new system is shit, its unnecessarily complex, confusing, does stupid things and you have to click twice as many times and go through stupid drop menu’s to achieve exactly the same things that’s been incredibly simple to do for 7 fucking years. Fuck the new system and frankly fuck anyone who thinks it’s an improvement, you’re wrong, no argument! Change isn’t always better, this one certainly isn’t!

Ah. So you’re one of those

I really like the fact that you have a list of favorite builds you can switch to instantly. I find the new UI a bit worse when you want to build (in particular, way too may checks when you want to modify something, one warning is enough) but a bit better when you are set and just want to select a build to play.

In this particular case YES I MOST CERTAINLY AM.

I knew how to do that in the old system, but I haven’t figured out how to do that in the new one.
It gives me the warning that some parts aren’t available (because I fused them), and highlights those parts, but then what?
I’ve just been manually switching them, but that can be tricky with modules that I’ve hidden inside the build.

Top left, I think. Haven’t been playing very much lately. It gives you the option to either replace or remove them from the blueprint.

Like it’s an option if I click on the missing part in the part list window?

I didn’t have any issues with the last design.
Old dog, new tricks .
Sigh… Never get too comfortable with things. They are all bound to change!

if i wanted to make a new build id simply load my blueprint, edit it a bit, then just… save it to an empty slot, no issues no hassle or anything. this new system adds far to many new steps to it and the building controls are majorly fucked.

but a majority of people dont like this. i hate how they changed it but i really like the quick select for a build that you want to run. hit a button, select your build, get into battle. its really quick. it seems people do agree with me that the quick select is nice but everything else is utter garbage.

i got this weird glitch on my build where i have my nidhogg build with 2 fafnirs and it says my nidhogg has an alternate thing for it but its the exact same one i have in my inventory that i used to build it with… bug maybe??

but the building controls though? why change something that didnt NEED changing?

i finally checked the new building and blueprint ui and pretty much nothing changed, you can lock builds and copy them easier now. it seems like a pretty usable update to the old ui.
also the new blueprint viewing ui is great but thats unrelated
