I’m trying to decide how to spend my bearings for this BP.
If my math is right, I can get only one legendary item (unless I buy levels).
Compiler would be the more obvious choice, because having two identically fused ones would be a full set. If I get a second Split, I’ll either have to buy an unfused one on the market or use real money to buy more BP levels to get a third.
But while Compiler is also arguably a stronger weapon, I find the switching between modes annoying, and it seems like it would be even worse if you’re running two. Although I am pleased to see that it holds the perk charge until you activate it, so at least I can just keep shooting until both cannons are charged, instead of praying I hit all my shells with both at the same time.
Split just seems more fun though, and also seems weak enough that it will get buffed eventually. I enjoy the simplicity of how it works and how the perk is implemented, and I also like how small it is.
How are you spending your bearings this time?
And does anyone know how much real money I would have to drop to get a third fused Split? The reload buff fuse would be annoying if they don’t all have it, so I’m not likely to opt for buying an unfused one on the market.

by my calculations you should be able to get to level 107 - 108 without having to get the premium battlepass… assuming you did every challenge and every daily challenge.
so this will leave you with enough to buy 2 legendaries.
to put this into perspective im level 88 right now in the pass, we got 2 weeks left give or take. i should be able to get 14 more levels from the pass getting me to level 102, then i have the extra levels from the dailys as well. the dailys will get me 6 extra levels getting me to 108 before the 4th when the event concludes. so ill have gotten to 108 by then with roughly 50 bearings left over.
i got a second compiler and will use my remaining bearings for the wheels as i dont see myself using the shotgun at all. which bring me to this
dont bother buying one, im very sure they will release it in a future mini battlepass and you can just get one from that. this way you can save your coins and only pay 10 bucks or so to get a fused one.
if you get a second split you could use them for low ps pvp like in BFU and whatnot im sure.

I don’t play every day, so there’s no way I’m going to do every daily challenge.
I’m at level 74 currently.

well i think its up to you then?
i mean if your ok with just 1 compiler then thats fine. in that case get the shotgun.
but if you want a set for the compiler then two is the way to go.
what do you prefer to run more though and what do you think you would run more, compiler or a shotgun set?
they do tend to release some items in the mini battlepasses to so perhaps you can get lucky and get a third from that? if your not TO far off level 107 then you can get the levels for it. if you did every challenge every day youd be able to hit level 88 sooooo… yeah it might not be a thing to buy the levels, it would be cheaper to wait for the mini pass in that case.

I’m seeing a few people running double Split builds at 9kPS (which is where I play most of the time lately), which is making me more receptive to that.
Compiler is cool, but it takes to long to activate the artillery mode that it’s more of a gimmick than useful in battle. Plus, I’ve been having some success with a single Compiler tank, augmenting it with a couple trombones and one of each spread stabilizer.
To buy levels, am I right in understanding that I have to buy Crosscrowns, and then use those for the levels?
Idk i cant stand pvp anymore no skill all aim assisted nd cam lock no good high ego D.F’s now a days nd yep i think u need cross crowns i never buy levels let alone cross crowns but i did have to buy cross crowns cuz 1 season dont remember which one but they wanted people to buy cross crowns to purchase the season pass

This has never been true for the basic BPs, because I’ve bought them all and have never purchased Crosscrowns.
i did on xbox i think the 2nd or 4th season
yeah you buy levels with crosscrowns or get the premium edition of the pass that gives 15 extra levels. its basically 4 dollars per level in canada. imo youd be better off waiting for a mini battlepass since it would be cheaper for you but its your choice.
i think people are using a bot aim assist on ps4 / ps5 as well because i see some people land hits that are far to accurate for their own good and keeping their weapon pointed at me completely the whole time. even i have trouble keeping my reticle on people in the heat of pvp but apparently they can keep it on me at all times with stupid accuracy.
