Steel troopers

i dont really know what to say about this mode. the jumping spider bots are interesting but i feel the bigger ones are a bit annoying. when they grab you you have no chance to defend yourself as they yank you around like a rag doll and destroy you pretty quickly.

the boss on the other hand is bullshit imo. i keep getting hit out of nowhere by these random explosions that give absolutely no clue where they are coming from and i die to them or lose my legs to them. i can see a very thin laser from the sky coming down from time to time, but there are explosions that happen without any given warning to which i think is unfair.
on top of this when i respawn theres a pretty large chance i get hit by a bomb / missile as soon as i respawn in dealing damage to me unfairly. i think they need to put in a few seconds of invincibility to counteract this because getting hit and taking damage as soon as you respawn is so cheap and unfair.

on top of that the spider drones can be irritating to, once you get one of them on you theyll continue to swarm the hell out of you till you die. some of the weapons in here dont really defend you much.

devourers and swarm missiles / rockets
firebugs and an avalanche
retchers and an incinerator

talk about a crappy lineup of weapons…

you have a means of defense which is that barrier that knocks the drones away from you but… idk… i feel its not as effective as it should be? ive come across times where it just doesnt do anything. it wont knock back the drones. theres times i see my team mates knocking the drones decently far away… maybe its dependant on distance?

also at the end they said the rewards dependent on how many people survive or make it to the ship at the end. i came across some idiot who boosted and rammed one of my team mates, along with himself, off the ship and they both died costing us the rewards. i was on the ship but still got 100 tricky treats.
if this is the case then my team mates are a bunch of assholes because they do not wait for anyone and even then we have team mates who stay behind stupidly instead of going to the ship and end up dying at the end costing us more points. even then i dont think thats the case. i survived once and got 100 treats. i survived with 1 other person and got around 115 treats. but i think its really dependent on how far you get and how many enemies you destroy?
idk because i havent made it to the end with all 4 team mates so idk how many treats you get for everyone surviving, can anyone give any info on this? did anyone have all 4 team mates get to the end? if so how many treats did you get?

If you like the new legs, this is a good brawl for that, IMO. It’s got ambiance and the seasonal creeps, it isn’t too hard, but it’s challenging. The pay-off ain’t great, but it’s not bad either.

If you milk the team work, it’s easy, but everybody’s got to play their role…once we all know what that is.

My pay-out for winning has been about 63 treats each time. It’s a lot less for loosing.

I’m not a walker enthusiast, but it’s at least amusing enough for me to earn a pair of those orange flares without feeling fatigued, I think (one down, one to go). After that, I’m done with it, probably. It’s only 500 treats. Not much of a grind, thanks.

I feel like they will go good with the Inferno cab I still haven’t convinced myself to buy, because it does that stupid orange glow thing, and is stupid slow. Somehow, I think I might be able to get it to work aesthetically if I have those flares…I’m still not convinced.

Off Topic: Some guy on reddit put out the prediction that the developers may be planning to make a weapon or module that feeds off the heating effect…after the Inferno cab pack sale is over, of course, potentially making that cab very desirable. That seemed possible to me (rationalizing my FOMO), so I thought I’d pass it on.

dude if thats the case then the master cabin is going to be BROKEN for that thing…
you know how much that thing heats up. can you imagine what kind of boost thatll have for a module like that? especially the gravastars, combine that with the master cabin and yikes…

idk i dont think ill get it. idc much for heating cabins minus the ability of the master cabin.

im actually getting another flare, already got one of them. i want to get a few other things to… still debating on getting a devourer to… its only going to cost me 17k to get it because of the uranium but idk if i want to… if i should just sell off the items i got or buy the uranium, grind the 3k treats and exchange it for a devourer… i wont use it even if i get it so idk.

i have premium so its 100 for me. lowest i got so far was 95 but most have been in the 100s.

oh i love the scenery and the areas, love the spooky feel to it. im just meh about everything else lol.

the big boss would be fine if it wasnt invincible randomly for no reason

Missing map markers, not sure where to go or what to do most of the time, that annoys me

the spider bots are a bit hard to see and hit, and especially the firebug build can’t seem to hit the small spiders at all, like the flame does not reach long enough to hit them even though it looks like it should

And too many times people are either trying to find the “generators” on the big spider in the terrain, or after destroying the generators, can’t seem to understand you are supposed to shoot the big eye decor on top next

Lack of Dino legs is also annoying, stomping the spiders could have been awesome

But all builds seem to serve some roles which is nice, the retcher and inci build is generally good against the spiders and taking out the objects, the minigun build is generally nice all over and helps with the laser mines at big spider, just do not use the swarm when there are electricity spiders near you or you nuke yourself, and the avalanche and firebug build is good at taking out objectives, like destroying the nest and the gates, and the big spider parts, but struggles against normal enemies a lot

it goes invincible when you shoot off a generator and you have to destroy those laser drones it deploys. easy enough cause they dont move, they are easy to spot to, they are the ones with the long orange lasers. once those are gone itll start another cycle so shoot off another generator then go for the head on top.

really? i only ever seen 1 person use that funnily enough lol.

this wouldve been quite good because stomping on them would give you a good advantage to. all you need is some cowboy boots or some cleats!

dude hit a nest with an incinerator and they just MELT. within 5 seconds i did like over 10k damage on it lol.

so to everyone out there i completed a run with all 4 team mates surviving.

1 team mate: 100 - 112 treats
4 team mates: 125 treats

… yeah it really gives you a very tiny amount more huh?

Shock Radio Gaming has a great Y.T video on how to complete the Steel Troopers brawl.

Yes…and Converse CKs too please.

Oh, and I use the Avalanche/Draco build, and I stomp lots of fire-roasted bugs. Due to how slow the Avalanche reloads, that’s a lot how it goes; mostly fire-roasted bug stompin.
