The ballistic marking line of this weapon should be changed to last until the end of one round of firing. Its current situation is that at the moment when the firing button is pressed and released, the weapon trajectory marking line disappears. At this time, it is very difficult for players to predict the subsequent projectile landing point, so most players can only adopt a safe strategy of not moving the mouse to keep the subsequent projectile landing point close to the first projectile, or separate their firing buttons on armored vehicles equipped with two Mandrake. When one weapon is ready to fire, press and hold the firing button of the other weapon to use the trajectory marking line of the other weapon to achieve aiming. This will greatly affect the user experience of this weapon.
I suggested for a few years now to the devs that the mandrake and other artillery weapons needed a marker on the minimap where they were aiming, just like in the game world of warships.
But the devs are just blind deaf and stupid, and dont love and care about their own game.
I wish they’d let us aim closer to our builds/right at our own builds, people already do that by tilting their builds with big wheels at the front tiny wheels at the back, or just by being on uneven map terrain, yet some movement part combos can’t do that and it shows
You should definitely do this anyway!
I’ve never seen this as a problem, bit of experience will tell you that moving the build rather than the mouse is a better way to spread the shots out.
This is a really good tip for beginners to see how movement will affect the area, after a while though it really is just fire and forget.
YES, this would be amazing! Even if it needs a doppler or another player with line of sight and comms that would be a game changer! Right now knowledge of the map is so important to using these things. I can only think that at the start of matches this would be a huge advantage which is why they won’t do it. Players can already smash half a team from the off on Rock city and Ship Graveyard fairly easily. Imagine that on 90% of the maps…
I find this is a nice characteristic of the weapon, huge damage at the price of being hard to use. This was less of a problem years gone by but at the moment speed is king so having to constantly reposition is key to success.
What I would personally like is increased projectile speed, sometimes it seems to take an age to hit the target. Bit more damage is always nice as well to keep up with power creep.
