New cannon is quite good and nice, it’s like a mix between a cannon and a kaiju on how it functions, you can charge it and keep it charged for a little bit which is nice. Only downside it has, outside being a cannon that is actually good so it’s gonna get nerfed after they’ve sold enough packs because god forbid we have a nice cannon, is that it charges like the Kaiju, where you aren’t fully charged after the charging sounds stop, so you can’t charge it based on hearing and it has what feels like an annoying extra 1-2 seconds of charging even though you think it’s fully charged
New cab is kind of a mixed bag, on the test track once you get the perk fully charged you ar quite bulky, like I can stand in my own fire puddles for days. Sad news is that the guns that feel like they could make nice use of it really do not, the Incinerator for example. While things like Cyclone that already was doing oh so poorly in combat will now be extra tanky when using this cab. The starting out with -25% damage resistance is really felt on all builds except the ones that can just stay at a distance and spam fire for days, like the cyclone.
I like the 2 new structure parts, the Hannya front bumper and the Horo back-end structure piece. The Horo has crazy amount of durability 306 for 619kg. The Hannya looks cool!
Also, if you have been raging that the only way to get the pink neon lights was watching long hours of twitch… your wait is over. Now you can drop some coin at the local market to get them. (Really cool we can now purchase it.)
Now if you like Kawai stickers of fox girls with a sword you can pick up both stickers in the market.
I’m also going to plug the deluxe set. You can get all of the stuff mentioned in the other forum comments found in this subject line of New Stuff. But also get the Syndicate Garage! Yeah!
If you haven’t guessed it, I’m a Syndicate fan. I dig their structure parts and flamboyance.
I just tried the Raijin in the exhibition and got to say I feel its underwhelming. First, it’s accuracy when you don’t charge the weapon is ghastly! I give it 1 out of 10.
Okay when charging the Raijin, the accuracy and damage is way better. I tried to hit a moving target in my garage, and it was not easy. Mind you I specialize in firing cannon’s and know about leading the target… But the Raijin is not my bag as a cannon.
I love the low silhouette of the cannon. I dig the durability! I can see this weapon used on a Syndicate bot as powerful. But don’t think it will measure up on PVP.
In PVE you can snipe with it and the DPM is fair.
Final verdict: If you want a charge cannon that is used as a sniper at a medium range it’s okay. It’s going to take some expertise to use this weapon for its intended use. Like all high energy weapons, it suffers with only 1 per vehicle. To be honest they need to lower the energy. I do not think it would be overpowered if you had 2 on a vehicle. Maybe costed at 16 energy each. But that’s my cannon bias showing.
I will eventually get it on the market once the over inflated prices go down to acceptable levels.
I discovered something because there was a raijin build with the - charge time fusion on the exhibition, if you have that fusion the sounds of the gun when charging up, actually match the charging, so once the charging up sound finishes you are actually at maximum charge. But not on the stock Raijin.
I find this to be pretty scummy, especially when the other gun that suffers from this problem, the Kaiju, has that exact same problem people have been complaining for a long time, the charging up sounds do not match the time needed to fully charge the gun. On the Kaiju it can be somewhat understood as the guns been through nerfs and buffs, but this Raijin is a brand spanking new gun straight out of the “factory” and the same thing is deliberately put into the gun, on purpose. Which can be negated, if you pay up and whale a fusion out of it. Extra scummy
With some further testing of the Beacon cabin i am gonna downgrade the rating to 2/10 it’s really bad, like did they even test this or think it at all bad
The -25% damage resistance you start with it just too much, it’s gonna take you 3 charges to be at +5% damage resistance, and usually once you’ve gotten that far you are already pretty much dead or the match is pretty much over.
You can’t really make use of the perk on fast weak or strong slow builds, and if you try to use the kinds of weapons that get you the charges fast, you are way too in the battle to not notice the negative damage resistance you have. On support or long range builds, the fast rapid damage builds ae just gonna chew you up before you can put on any charges as well.
If Incinerator was not nerfed to the ground to make Jotun shine, this could be ok cab with incis, but it’s not an ok cab with jotuns so there’s that as well.
Really, really bad cabin with only the novelty shape going for it, I can’t make this thing wok in practice no matter what builds or playstyles I try it just starts out too weak and needs to be at full 10 charge to give any noticeable buff, but you just can’t get there at all, and even if you start to have 6-7 charges your build is already so beat up that it makes no difference. Feels like no thought or any kind of testing has gone into this cabin at all before rolling it out
i could be wrong here but i think the cabin was made to be a pve cabin. you know for raids in easy to medium. the reason i say that is the damage resistance being at -25% starting off. i mean… thats alot if your going into pvp with the cab. youll just get obliterated by… well… anything. but i can imagine how much damage a cannon will do with 25% more damage, or even shotguns. hell mgs will chew you right up.
i think the cabin needs a little work.
