That is with two events running too. This game didn’t used to always have events running in order to keep its numbers up this high (low?), let alone multiple events.
Now we appear to be creeping back towards that dead zone of 3Kish (according to the Steam charts) averages, and this is post Chinese migration (supposing that’s what accounted for the uptick to 12K)…with multiple events rolling.
The Steam chart looks like its projecting at least a 40% loss in average players by the end of this year. It’s been a schitty year.
I like the helicopters, but I am still mourning the death of Mad Max.

I always suspected that the return of the founders era was peak crossout which attracted a lot of casuals and I’ve said it once or twice here on the forum before but I think the dev’s really shot themselves in the foot once they nerfed the annihilator and thus scaring away the casuals. People complains about no skill weapons but I think that is good for the game to have a few op no skill weapons in the game like that because not every one got skill and there is nothing wrong with that.
I use to use the annihilator before it got nerfed into the ground and I found it very to fun to use but the dev’s just gives into the clan wars community every whim and I think that this game could be doing a bit better if it wasn’t so focused on competition.
I wouldn’t say that, war thunder gained a lot of players but that was the exception so yea the grand majority of games that as been out for a while usually doesn’t see gains the longer it’s been out.
Yea it’s looking pretty bad for them to have all this new content out and yet still losing players in mass
