Thoughts on the New BP Stuff?

Hybrid
Shredder
Corax
Which of the 3 has been annoying to fight against for ya’ll?

So far, Corax seems to be the scariest of the 3 to face. Especially on a hover.
I’ve seen more Corax users personally. (on Xbox)
Hybrids second. But seems pretty good. (Of course hovers is all ppl use, cuz OP)
Weird to see a lack of Shredders tho, i cant say much. Never see any lol. But seemingly not as op as we all thought initially?

As for MVP Torpedo’s. I’ll unlock my 2 very soon.
But for the prices… Idk i’d hope they’ll receive some buffs.
Therm prices at 1800+ lol…
And I want to craft 2-4 :joy:
Really hope for Christmas we’re able to craft therms.
Torpedo is fun, not very good… Just fun. Hope the prices lower lol.

It’s too early for me to have an opinion. Need to wait for more people to actually unlock the items, and see how they perform.
I find the early results when only whales have the new stuff is often misleading.

Crossbow is the only thing I’m getting hit by so far.

torpedos are so weird to me and i wont use them. the fact they dont strafe and just act like a wheel REALLY throws me off.
hybrid is a stupid weapon to. its also super weird that you have to double tap R2 or w/e button you have it assigned to just to switch modes. its ability to is kind of stupid as well.
shredder is pointless to me. i tried using it in the event and its practically worthless. at medium range its damage is pathetic for a legendary even if its like a cyclone in that its fire rate increases.
oh corax is the crossbow. i dont like it, completely useless and pointless.

Hybrid (Autocannon), Shredder (Gatling Gun), and Corax (Rocket Launcher). From your perspective, the Corax is the most annoying/scariest to face, especially when mounted on a hover build, which you note is currently meta and considered overpowered (OP). The Hybrid is the next most common and effective. You’ve observed a lack of Shredders, suggesting it might not be as OP as initially anticipated. Regarding the Torpedo (Thermals/Thermometers), you find it fun but underperforming given its high price ($1800+), and you’re hoping for future buffs and/or a way to craft them during a Christmas event to make obtaining multiple units more feasible.

Based on the brawl/test drive/seeing a few of these in matches,

Torpedo seems like a novelty part, using it was kinda for fun only, trying to use it to do good feels like a struggle for the most part. I’d compare the usability to meat grinders imo, and I barely use my meat grinders at all

Starter is pretty nice, playing a little with it and while it’s not a huge difference, you do feel the difference between builds using it and not using it. Reduced charging time is a buff all charge2fire weapons need honestly, I’d imagine they’ll make a legendary part like this at some point

Shredder seems kinda meh to ok, I’ve seen people do good with it but also not very good, personally did not feel that great, not better than the usual shotguns people use currently (parser or split). It’s biggest downside is that it’s a continuous shooting weapon rather than a single shot one, and not being able to just facehug builds with it makes it a bit harder to use than most shotguns. Somewhat hard to hit things with at a range in motion

Hybrid seems really cool but in use it’s kinda bad. The modes both work nice, but it’s biggest problems are the lag before it starts shooting and how you end up accidentally switching modes in use, like you start shooting but the enemy goes behind cover so you stop, comes out almost instantly and you press the button again and whoops you switched modes and now your grenades are hitting the ground because you think you’re in machinegun mode, it’s just too much fiddling distracting you. The moment you get rushed you end up not only struggling against your enemies but also against your gun trying to be in modes you don’t want it to be and trying to hit enemies. It’s a very infuriating weapon to use that mostly manages to make you feel frustrated in using it

Corax on the other hand is really good, because it’s a Varun that fixes the biggest drawback the Varun has (loosing the perk/rhythm of shots for whatever reason). It also has nice damage and both modes work pretty good, I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about it
