Cyclones were never unpopular to begin with but it was never at the very very top of the list for popularity either until recently despite always being a craftable item. The most op items has a tendency to be the best selling ones. Narwhal is not craftable, very expensive and yet it sells like hot cakes, players just want that advantage. Also anyone who bought the very first bp can craft infinitie amounts of annhilators or assemblers, cost 2.5 times less than cyclone and yet no one wants them! I just donât get that argument.
Annihilators and Assemblers arenât effective anymore. Cyclone is still effective. Cylones only use 10 Energy, mid-long range, and are easy to use. Theyâre good for various situations.
I love Cylones, but I donât think theyâre OP. Theyâre huge and hard to effectively armor. Scorpions can strip them from afar, Shotguns and Machine guns can easily strip them up close.
Scorpions hardly ever strips my cyclones like ever, even if they do get one they still got 2 more to go. Every time Iâm on cyclones in a confrontation with a scorp user, even in a mild gank situation I win like 9 out of 10 times and that is no exaggeration. Even if it were easily stripped thatâs what the scorp is meant to be for which is picking off high priority pieces on an enemy vehicle. Scorpion is also a relic with not the greatest dps so it gotta have something going for it.
Anyways I think the best way to balance the cyclone for the time being is not nerf the durability, damage or anything like that but to instead give it some range drop off where the damage decreases the further away the target. It be more like a juiced up temptest so the cyclone would be more like your brawling close up autocannon and not the jack of all trades plus master of all autocannon. Also give it quite a bit of extra mass because a lot of the builds using it are way too tanky even in clan confrontation.
The game is shrinking and the people who main them have had many battlepasses to acquire god fuse versions.
Because thereâs an over-abundance of them. On top of not being a pack or pass exclusive weapon like every weapon ever these days, Itâs been offered with god-fuse in almost every mini pass and main pass as a crafting option while not getting any nerfs after being initially buffed to high heavens like year or two ago? Feels like forever. So not many people are running the stock version at all. Everyoneâs running it fused, and they donât need to use the normal ones to fuse because itâs in every pass ever. So the normal cyclones go down in price because nobody is really buying them and going for the fused ones instead, which you can acquire through other means than using the cyclones themselves off of the market to fuse
It only cost me 2800 coin on pc to get the version with the 10% increase rate of fire plus 5% damage boost and I sold the other cyclone for somewhere between 2200-2400 coin. Almost everyone got the upgraded version soo no wonders it is selling a little low these days despite being massively op and highest rated in popularity. The argument that just because it is selling a little low means it must not be op I think got just a few holes in it.
Iâve literally been saying Cyclone is OP since day 1 after its buff rofl.
it was obvious cyclone will be overpowered just reading the patch notes. it was a great weapon before so of course it dominates completely now
