Sometimes I get frustrated at devs not listening to players… then I take a look at some balance threads and I remember gamers have some of the worst takes on game design and game balance I’ve ever seen
An interesting recent case was Jagged Alliance 3 devs adamantly refusing to show % to hit despite the crying of a (very loud) portion of the community (XCOM 2 fans probably shivers) which wanted something that would have been very detrimental to the game’s fun in the end. Nothing kills the thrill of tactical turn-based games like a fat 100% chance to hit.
