Fast turning 360 degree weapons that are more powerful than any 360 degree weapon has any right to be.
its funny how you people think bricks are new when ive been using builds like it for years, look up crossout who wants a bbq or crossout 20 bigfoots
so punishers then? they turn so fast i think they are the fastest turning weapon in the entire game if im not mistaken…
Not a durable burst damage/aoe weapon.
The difference was you used to be able to counter them. Hovers actually had some speed, agaility and height so you could dodge and get away. Legs used to have enough durability to deal with rushing melee noobs and kapkans worked to stop morons rushing in without consequence. Now all those things are trash and we have nothing to defend with other than to just make a bigger brick, it’s pathetic.
This narrative we have now has been pushed our way with all the bullshit they forced down our throats over the years because all the whiney kid noobs cried about “hovers being OP.”
Game is now a total shitfest, pretty much had enough of it.
Bigfoot bricks back then did not have the acceleration nor the single-wheel durability to be invulnerable. They had 445 hp a wheel and not that many of them. Now the bricks are way denser than they used to be with bigfoots having ~580 (or 680 I dont check often). Except its not bigfoots that are meta anymore, its Titans and Buggy wheels, which are strangely quite viable on the most durable builds in game. Wheels have stat powercrept other movement parts.
i dont even think that hovers were that op. sure they were in the beginning but the amount of nerfs they got is just sickening to me.
sadly its true. kapkans used to be a really good counter to melee or dog builds but now they just suck. its a shame they are so bad now.
legs used to have some durability but imo flamethrower dogs were and still are overpowered.
hovers used to be decent and had a good height, now they just eat the ground for the most part… its sickening that this is how they are now.
i guess the only real answer is bigger bricks.
i get that titans have alot of hp but buggy wheels?? why those?
also titans do have that ability to restore their hp near a corpse so that can really make a difference to… theres also parts now that give additional hp to wheels to making them even more powerful. if you see a build running 12 - 20 bigfoots then they most likely have alot of bonuses to the durability of those wheels. you aint knocking all those wheels off… unless they go through jotuns alot or incinerators…
No I agree, you had to be really good to use them and by that point it was more skill than the hovers being OP… Back when you had to manually steer ect before the “follow the mouse” addition… But whiney kids ya know…
They need to knock them back up a notch for sure, fed up of being rammed with wedge type builds, especially front avalanches which just pin and then blast your build to bits in a one-er, like its a fucking ramp how can I not just go over the top… it’s honestly dumb and irritating.
Again something that got nerfed way too hard and now there’s some ridiculously complicated maths involved as to whether it even works at all, like by the time it’s done the math and put the chalk down it’s too late anyway. They really need to sort it out, certainly don’t make it as horrible as it used to be but it at least needs to work given there are so many counters to them. Even when it was horrible you could still shoot the things without much effort. Tbh I expect to see a legendary version sometime soon that’s the same as the old and will happily sell as a pack only item.
Yea these things are just silly, by far them most powerful wheels in the game that definitely need reigning in. I thought Hermit’s were bad until these came along. Can count on one hand the number I’ve managed to destroy!
i wasnt around when hovers were first introduced but people had told me they were very overpowered. i seen builds with ridiculous numbers of hovers on them. also i never liked hovers that much because there was ALWAYS these damn builds with “hover catchers” and they would get me stuck on them all the time, even when i shouldnt have been caught on them. now if i tried to do that to THEM it would never work, but when they did it to me i could never get away where as they could. it was frustrating to me. nowadays if you even nudge a hover it goes spinning like a damn beyblade let alone just bumping into something… or someone…
the thing is… kapkans are one of my favorite defensive things to use, but to many people whining about them and they get nerfed into the ground.
it just sucks that they are countered so hard. rockets are hard countered by pretty much everything and a toothpick but people still run them and they have really good damage if you can get them all to hit. with kapkans though its either hit or miss and it misses the mark way to often.
i do notice though a major difference in performance though in wheels.
commons fall off like they are made of toothpicks.
rares fall off like they are made of wet tissue paper.
specials are a tiny bit more durable and dont fall off as often.
epics are just the most durable i ever seen. i rarely, if ever, see them fall off a build. hell i could shoot a bigfoot wheel with a triple spike and it would do fuck and all. even my cannon build wouldnt do anything to these. and titans? pfft just go into the middle of a corpse pile and your back up to full in no time.
The fact that they are even viable on heavy CW builds speaks volumes. I run 5 of them on a CC Joule and I have never been immobilized before losing all my HP and guns. I CANNOT state the same thing for meatgrinders or omnis. All epic wheels have overpowered hp
