[PC][PS][Xbox] Crossout: Wasteland drift

Happy upcoming holidays, survivors! In this New Year’s update: a new Syndicate season and a new event with a reward scale, a variety of brawls and a New Year’s event with lots of rewards on a special workbench, a new PvP map and a relic plasma emitter. And that’s not all! Join the festivities!

New season “Wasteland drift”

Attention! The season and Battle pass packs will be available until March 19 inclusive! On consoles, the Battle pass packs will be available from December 19, 10:00 GMT!

Special promotion! From December 19 to January 22 inclusive, if you buy the elite version of the Battle Pass or the deluxe edition of the “Slipstream” event pass in the official Gaijin store (PC), you will get a 20% discount for a second pass. For example, if you buy the elite Battle Pass, you will get 20% off the “Slipstream” deluxe event pass and vice versa. Works only if you buy a pack separately (not both of them at the same time).

New parts of the season

“Uwabaki” wheels

  • Rarity: epic.
  • Light wheels.
  • PS: 170.
  • Tonnage: +1400 kg (+700 kg for steering).
  • Cabin power: -6% (-12% for steering).
  • Lets 15% damage through.
  • Durability: 300 pts.
  • Mass: 100 kg.
  • Perk: for each enemy within an 80 m radius, the cabin power is increased by 50%. The maximum bonus is reached when 4 enemies are in range. The bonus stops working upon contact with an enemy car. The bonus doesn’t depend on the number of “Uwabaki” wheels, but significantly decreases with other mounted movement parts, except for rotors.

“Punji” turret

  • Creates an energy stake at the aimed point. If another stake is placed within the 30 m radius, it automatically connects with the last placed stake, creating an energy field between them, which deals damage to enemies that pass through it. The energy field is created only between stakes placed by the same player. Has 2 charges. Only 4 “Punji” weapons can be mounted on a car.
  • Rarity: epic.
  • PS: 405.
  • Launches: 10.
  • Durability: 144 pts.
  • Energy drain: 3 pts.
  • Mass: 95 kg.
  • Perk: when dealing damage, slows the reload speed and cooldown rate of enemy weapons by 40%, reduces the cabin’s power by 40% and limits the maximum speed of the armoured car (including when using boosters). The effect lasts for 3 sec.

“Fukibari” crossbow

  • Shoots in bursts of 3 crossbow projectiles that fly on a ballistic trajectory and stick to the target. Enemies can shoot the projectiles off.
  • Rarity: legendary.
  • PS: 1800.
  • Ammunition: 18 salvos.
  • Penetration ability: 80%.
  • Durability: 456 pts.
  • Energy drain: 9 pts.
  • Mass: 548 kg.
  • Perk: the projectile deals periodic damage and heats up the part it is attached to.

“Oyabun” engine

  • Rarity: legendary.
  • PS: 200.
  • Mass limit: +1500 kg.
  • Maximum speed: +17%.
  • Cabin power: +30%.
  • Durability: 320 pts.
  • Mass: 250 kg.
  • Perk: if there is a significant loss of speed due to a collision, the power of the armoured vehicle increases by 100% and the reverse speed of wheels increases by 80% of standard. The effect lasts for 6 sec., cooldown 4 sec.

“Imugi” grenade launcher

  • Fires slow projectiles that fly on a ballistic trajectory, attach to enemies and explode after a short timer expires. A salvo releases a burst of 4 projectiles.
  • Rarity: legendary.
  • PS: 2400.
  • Ammunition: 15 salvos.
  • Durability: 550 pts.
  • Energy drain: 12 pts.
  • Mass: 820 kg.
  • Perk: if there is an enemy car within a 3.5 m radius away from the projectile, the projectile will be attracted to it and explode after a short interval.

“Satori” cabin

  • Rarity: legendary.
  • PS: 2400.
  • Maximum speed: 98 km/h.
  • Tonnage: 4700 kg.
  • Mass limit: 8900 kg.
  • Energy supply: 25 pts.
  • Durability: 300 pts.
  • Mass: 850 kg.
  • Perk: increases the weapon damage by 20% when armoured vehicle is drifting. The longer the car is drifting, the greater the damage bonus, with a maximum of 40%. Works only with wheels.

Miscellaneous

  • You can now create battles in “Arena” mode at the corresponding maps in the Game center.
  • Improved the behaviour of AI players in game modes.

New map “New Fuji”

The map has an asymmetrical structure, which creates a memorable and diverse space and interesting game situations.

The main point of interest is the tower because of the capture point located by it.

The tower is also the source of impulse, which players can activate in “Encounter” mode by using a generator nearby.

The impulse temporarily gives allies a small increase in speed and power, as well as shows the location of all enemies on the map and disables their invisibility modules.

Activation is accompanied by the rise of energy cores. Once they are fully charged, the tower releases a pulse wave that affects the entire area around it.

After a while, the cores lower back, which means that the generator will soon be available for activation again.

Be careful near the elements of the destroyed power infrastructure:

and chasms:

You can get out of the former relatively easily, but no one can save you from the latter.

Miscellaneous

Locations “Cursed mines”, “Wrath of Khan” and “Eastern Array” were adapted for battle walkers. Updated the map images of these locations.

Relic plasma emitter “Nemesis”

  • Fires bursts of 5 projectiles made of overheated plasma that fly on a straight trajectory. Requires to be charged.
  • PS: 2400.
  • Ammunition: 85 salvos.
  • Penetration ability: 30%.
  • Durability: 360 pts.
  • Energy drain: 8 pts.
  • Mass: 332 kg.
  • Perk: accumulates charges when the weapon is not firing for 1.5 sec. Each charge significantly speeds up the charging of one salvo. The maximum of 8 charges can be accumulated in 5 sec.

Balance changes

Devourer

  • Common projectile damage reduced by 21.4%.
  • Armour-piercing projectile damage is reduced by 13.3%.
  • Explosive projectile damage reduced by 10%.
  • Cooling projectile now freezes parts by 5% instead of 9%.
  • Increased the number of hits required to activate the perk from 30 to 36.
  • Optimal range reduced by 29%.
  • Maximum range reduced by 33%.

Comment: extremely high efficiency of the weapon in Clan wars that needed to be reduced without waiting for the next balance changes update.

  • [PC] Added Portugese language option. Please note that the Portuguese translation of the game is still a work in progress, and we would be very grateful if the members of our Portuguese-speaking player community landed us their expertise and feedback. You can contact our localization team here:
  • Improved the sorting system for structural parts in the “Exchange” menu.
  • The “Grenadier” drone now pertains to the Steppenwolfs faction instead of Firestarters.
  • Improved the announcements’ layout in the “Coming soon!” banner.

  • Fixed a bug that caused aim assist to function even if the car had no weapons, or they were lost during battle.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the visual effect of the capsule in the “Next step” game mode to disappear if the player has left the battle.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the sound effects to not change when zooming in and out on the car.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the sound of crashing to disappear if the aircraft fell on the ground horizontally.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the tracks sound effect to disappear when moving at low speed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the damage increase of the “Atitlan” co-driver to trigger before the charged talent was activated.
  • Fixed an incorrect animation of a transmission belt of the “BWC Warrior” cabin.
  • Fixed a bug that caused certain objects to be displayed from a wrong angle in the buy/sell window.
  • Improved a number of in-game texts and icons.

Just a random question, who else reads BWC Warrior as “BIG WHITE rooster WARRIOR”?

New map looks ok but I do not like it, it’s way too cluttered, and having the BBC I mean BBS brawl in it with the winter colors man I can’t see anything. Just so cluttered this entire map

Rei sticker is very nice, a nice place to rest your weary head. I love the plushies from the free christmas pack.

Sadly no Flute fusion on the workbench but other than that fusion workbench is always nice. Komeiji Satori is not as busted as I had worried it would be, but at the same time it makes it as usable as a Jannabi and mine has been collecting dust for a very long time. Pumba stick is a lot more deadly than I had thought but also very hard to use. Heat crossbow is ok, and the BALLS LAUNCHER is very nice, and it might do Yokais job but a bit more easier as the balls can be rolled under builds, ESpecially hovers. No really try rolling those balls under a hover

what could they expect with that name

thats suitable since crossout is becoming a mobile game

theres nothing really good here imo.

yep this thing is as broken as i thought it would be… at least to me it is.

this weapon has a major flaw that i will address in a post ill make.

I plan on overindulging in all of this stuff. There’s a good bit overall I like about this offering, after looking at it up-close.

Both passes offer at least some things I like, and the brawls look festive and immersive. There’s plenty of fun free stuff, and good work benches with a wide range of goods from serious to silly, nice new seasonal paint, a car-centric, wheels based theme, which I prefer, a new twist on turret drones (schwing!), cool wheels, a practical engine, hubcaps, pink stuff, Christmas bling…I’ll find a way to be amused with this.

I’m, not real into Legendary gear, but I feel like I do need to pad my inventory with some, and this stuff looks as good as any, I suppose.

I want to celebrate Christmas this year, so I’m going to try and lighten up and just have fun with it. I might end up blowing all of $20 bucks on myself here, haha…hoho.

Doesn’t that seem a bit much for light wheels, or just me?
