Small update, 18.08.2026
Improved the matchmaking in “Gauntlet of the survivors”.
Constant yellow ping after this update, anyone else?
When are we getting a real update? We need balancing—for instance, right now ML 200s are so overpowered at 5,000 PS that they’re all anyone uses; legendary parts should be restricted below a certain PS level. If veterans want Crossout to survive, they need to let new players play at their own level.
I think the last two major updates were in April and July. So it could be as far off as November but I’m just speculating from the distance between dates. Hopefully they’ll do something sooner as your not the only one I’ve heard complaining about it.
I’m not sure where to put this, and I’m not sure if I can make topics yet or not, but I have made a very worrisome discovery that needs to be address and quickly before it spirals out of control.
Almost every Adventure Mode unlock requires Engraved Casings. They are no longer given out in Adventure Mode, and as such, those items are now a finite resource is quickly growing smaller and smaller every day (those that are available for purchase in the Market are now technically “paywalled”), and will soon become impossible to get for new players, unless Engraved Casings make a return, or the crafting recipe is changed.
Why they were removed as rewards in the first place, I will never understand.
It would have actually been even better if they were removed from the game and market altogether (and players who had some saved already offered compensation of alternate crafting materials) than to lock out an entire new generation of players from ever being able to unlock, craft or use any of the cosmetics you used to be able to unlock as a F2P player.
Is there a way we can start a petition to urge the devs to either add them back to give Adventure Mode more reason to play, or at the very least make the unlocks from Adventure Mode not be impossible to craft anymore? There are some pretty sweet looking cosmetics you can get from the Adventure Mode unlocks that I have yet to see any other way to obtain or craft. The side pipes that look like old school ratrod exhaust would look awesome on some rides I plan to build. There’s got to be a way to make them accessible for new players without having to spend a fortune in the Market.
I would love to hear a reply from the devs or players who know how to contact the developers on how to address this oversight. I also hope this message doesn’t come off as Spam, but it’s an issue that looks like it may cause issues for future players trying to unlock the Adventure Mode cosmetics and even some weapons in the Adventure Mode, such as Piercers and the Legendary Machine Gun that you can also unlock from Adventure Mode.
Oh nooo! What a worrying problem
We can thank stuff like this for that situation:
I wouldn’t say this is happening because of some old posts.
Devs just saw an opportunity and used it, same with terms or that one teal-grade scope module
@Горынка_Упорынка you missed my point it’s was the speed runs that wrecked the silo via over supply of the shells on the market.
There weren’t an oversupply, cause supply implies there’s a demand in the first place.
Casings were largely useless. You could craft some mid decor… or three mid machineguns. Contrary to popular belief at the time, “shitscan” was, in fact, not “op” - so piercers/fidgets/imps were just a gimmicky not-quite-shotgun fun weapon.
Then came averter and omamori. Congratulations! Now your machineguns are even more useless as you wouldn’t feasibly place 4 of them on averter/omamori. And even if you did, you still wouldn’t get as much as, like, scorpio or mammonth would get.
So nobody bothered farming casings (except for a few people that did it just for fun. But that’s a drop in the ocean anyways), as they weren’t useful in the first place.
Look at the basic player behavior on the market they will undersell even to the point of removing their own profit.
Our game has has failed in every resource silo that it’s tried to establish outside of badges. Which is why I was pushing work pieces for badges still.
I could hit people across the map so much harder with hitscan. I think most arb users understood the change and I’m one of those.
Just be smaller than their build, I do this often and just drive up behind them and via the shot angles they can’t hit me. Yellow box builds are good for this.
You had a few people farming them really often and they are mostly the players that have them left. I think derp even has 10k of them left if I remember right.
This still doesn’t change that casings weren’t in demand.
Or maybe because you could nest your arbiter in a way that even scorpios couldn’t hit it? Or because it had an insane synergy with favourite so it wouldn’t overheat, like, forever? Or because it was an overbuffed machinegun on itself with ridiculous damage?
Don’t hit me with that, i’ve been playing in KTM and farming uranium on sausage builds. Machineguns, with two exceptions - arbiter and spectre - were trash.
If it works against sheepies it doesn’t mean that the strat is good. This is why the crutch problem in gaming exists.
Like a melee player can’t reach enemies because they’re too slow, so they get a skinner. Which helps, but the real, more effective solution would be a boosted cockpit build. But now they’re unlikely to get a good solution because “this crutch really helps me and it’s better in comparison!”
1 person hoarding 40k doesn’t mean shit if there’s a 1000 sheepies that played a few sessions of awakening and got 400 casings each.
The demand is always based on the recipes for other items outside of they aren’t bad weapons.
No, my guns are fairly easy to hit if they try even the slightest bit. I shouldn’t but I play very fairly. Even without going to a KTM build I can scoot up right behind and shoot.
Why would you make a slow melee build? Also you can flip those skinner builds easy just by running with enough mass.
There were more then a few people doing it. The silo’s reduction methods still failed.
Translations:
(English) I would like the scoring system for Gauntlet of Survivors to be reviewed. In the Bronze tier, the system awards +15 points for a win and deducts 15 for a loss, turning progression into a nightmare and a waste of time. It strips the mode of all its appeal. I believe most new or F2P players are unhappy with a stagnant mode designed to pressure people into buying the pass or playing Meta-Slayer—without even guaranteeing success—or into copying builds, which removes the fun of creating your own. The scoring system, which punishes losses so harshly, has ruined a mode that once promised to be engaging.

It does translate…
… I’m not sure if you are doing that in a mocking tone or not…
And now casings are going for more than fuel. I just saw a guy in general chat last night bragging about how he just crafts piercers to get rid of his stock, effectively helping to dry the well up.
In total, there are three weapons, and almost 5-6 Adventure Mode unlockable cosmetics that require the use of casings to make. There are no alternatives to getting them aside from using casings to craft them.
Not sure what you mean by a Silo reduction, but I looked on the market last night and only two players have orders on the market for casings… They are entering a “Hording” stage, it appears.
It’s a shame, since some of the Adventure Mode cosmetics look so cool, especially the side pipes with the Native American-esque names. The decals are another big deal, since they can really add personality to a ride.
I mean that the resource (casings) didn’t have enough craft-able items with it and the surplus of that resource dropped in value to a point where the value was no longer sustainable.
Yes, i’m mocking. It’s really funny, because casings became unobtainable 3 years and and 9 months ago, and people are realizing it just now.
We’ve consistently complained about this for a really long time. It’s pretty much been a complaint every time one of those items pops up in a recipe for a BP.
