Hope it’s not as bad to play as the last updated steel championship was, it was straight up not fun
Most likely as big of a scam as these mini passes tend to be, unusual cosmetics sounds nice but I doubt it’s anything new or actually special, another way to milk money out of players, probably need fused king mines to craft parts or something whivch are not a reward you can earn
meh
A new crossbow? I hope it’s not a new Varun, or get Varun’d after it’s release, Varun left such a sour taste in my mouth I can’t feel genuinely excited about it even though i really want more crossbows to the game. New wheels i am hoping are not just Omni 2 but honestly i don’t have high hopes
Drones are not popular on PS4, other than Yaoguai drones. And degunning is still the focus on console too.
Anyway, I still think you guys aren’t grasping that I do agree they are at a disadvantage against other movement parts. Of course they are.
All I’m trying to say is that people are also exaggerating how bad they are. I guess it’s possible that only people on PS4 use them, but I suspect that many of you aren’t playing a wide enough PS range to get a sense of where they work and where they don’t.
I see lots of hardened tracks and/or Sleipnir tracks, and of course lots of small tracks in mid PS. When you go below 8kPS, that’s where the heavier tracks start showing up and being a factor.
Will Goliaths work at 12kPS? Not very well. Will they work at 8kPS? Yes they are still useable.
Yes, they are less popular than other options, but I can definitely get enough MVPs and Unyieldings using them that calling them useless is a gross exaggeration.
As I’ve said many times, my skills are average at best, so if I can make them work, better players should be able to as well.
I regularly see players succeeding with tracks at some PS ranges. It’s not a mirage.
There will always be outliers, but if you look at the whole picture here they are practically useless (relative to other movement parts).
Try to see it from the point of view of a clan leader (from the only tracked clan that exists in Crossout, established in 2019), just sitting by and watching clan members leave one after the other only due to the state of tracks. Many of us came to XO only to play with tracks and while they used to be good enough in the past they are now, dare I say it, useless.
I know it’s not your intention but your posts come across as “Tracks are ok enough, might as well leave them as-is”. For anyone reading; Make no mistake, something needs to be done about tracks. It’s taking the fun out of the game for hundreds of Crossout players.
Screenshot from one of multiple that have left just the past week.
My friend, these were viable builds no less than a year ago. I hear this argumentation often but it just doesn’t match up with reality.
Our clan only runs such builds with tracks and at our peak (2019-2020) we were four clans (approx. 50 people) all running Goliaths and Mammoths in cw, three clans of which were actively earning uranium in bronze.
The speed of tracks and the slow weapon rotation is not the issue here. That can be overcome with practice, positioning and teamwork. Remember back then Goliaths had a top speed of a whopping 40 km/h. That is 15 km/h slower than they are today, and still they were more than viable enough.
Take all this into consideration and it becomes quite apparent that the problem lies in the balancing of the game. With each update the performance of tracks keep getting worse. It has been a steady decline for the past 3 years and now it has finally reached a point where they are completely and utterly useless at most powerscores no matter your skill or wallet.

The solution is so simple. Perk that increases weapon durability, that’s all there is to it.
They gave all tacks perks, and perks that buff weapon parameters to the smaller and lighter tracks no less than a month or two ago. If they can do that then they can surely change the perks for the heavier ones to something that actually benefits the tracked builds that use them.
There is also a reason you don’t see giant mech spiders with mountains of canvas roofs, “firedogs” that kill MBT’s in seconds or “hovers” that lob flaming barrels at the enemy in the real life. It’s a game and I don’t think it was ever supposed to be realistic.
If my build is a “poor combination” as you put it, then I’d like you to show me any build with any of the heavy tracks that is viable in CW. Or any high powerscore tank build that is better optimized.
It might get seen if it’s not hidden inside a patch thread.
I can only talk of Xbox, But tracks have not been viable in top ranked clan wars in forever. I’m not sure what platform your on, but in no way was that build viable a year ago, two years, or however many years ago.
Edit: I’m on PC. I will definitely start a thread on it but I already tagged a GM so I will wait for his response before I bring it up again, just to avoid spamming them
The tease from last October made them look like they’d have spikes on them & like they’d do melee damage. Still, they look cool… They also look enormous and hard to build with. We’ll see.
So… What’s that gun looking thing above the wheel? Am I not recognizing a part already in the game, it is that new?
correct me if i’m wrong, but is it not ‘all hovers and long range weps’ in cw now?
i mean, noboby wants to get close to eachother in cw…it’s all peekaboo hovers…
Goliaths are the only track I haven’t played, but I’m curious how the new engine helps with their power drain problem.
Anyone experimented much with combining them?
Maybe I’ll buy some today and try them out.
As soon as I got it, I tried a few of the old-style builds with Goliaths as armor.
Did they nerf Goliath durability? They don’t seem to be doing what they used to.
I may try a walker with Augers as armor/melee. I did that a while back & it worked brilliantly in raids.
It’s hard to get it to work in PVP due to the PS creep they cause.
The new engine massively buffs Goliath Tracks. I made a build with 6 Bigrams and 4 Goliaths, (1 fused for -Power) and the Pegasus perk was 98% additional power to the Pegasus’ base 44 percent. The build drove well. I don’t know exactly how Pegasus works, but it makes sure that you can throw all the tracks on your build that you want and it will still drive well.
I think 4 Goliath Tracks being used for armor on spides is about to become a regular occurence.
idk they dont look omni-like to me. they look like a ball that will spin inside the “containment” armor around the wheel. they look super interesting though! i really cant wait to see how they function.
how would that fix the issue though? more durability on weapons is kind of useless in most situations especially if someones fast enough to just run circles around you. most shotgun and dog builds are built for speed and flamethrower builds only need to run into you to get stuck on you to deal enough damage to take off one of your tracks or kill you outright.
im guessing thats a new gun and it looks really cool! if anything id assume its either a cannon which is highly possible or perhaps a type of rail gun which is not as possible but still possible. if anything it looks like a charging gun. look at the top and bottom of the gun, you see the wires? im assuming its a successor to the Kaiju or possibly something related to it. maybe a relic version of it? im not to sure. but what my gut is telling me is that its a charge weapon for sure. as for what type? i dunno. but it looks really nice!
