Updooted Crossout packie wackies

So how do you guys feel about the updated packs? For me they look ugly as sin, and lost any remnants of SOUL (for design/looks, all of them are soulless cashgrabs) the original packs had. Especially the Nagual pack, what a massive downgrade. They all just look so ugly. Especially the Fiend pack that’s just vile to look at

Ngl these packs are better from the standpoint of being playable. You’d be surprised how many players are using packs as their vehicle of choice, thinking that pack vehicles = good because it’s true for almost every single game.

i seen the massive amount of packs they crapped into the store and i just facepalmed.

The packs tend to be geared for newer players, who have lackluster stuff to work with, and need a quick way to increase the number of parts they can use. They’re not intended to be functional art, just functional. I assume that the whole idea of Crossout is that seasoned players should be able to build their own stuff, while offering a helping hand to newer players until they gain more experience.

It’s interesting that in the Tales event, while most people craft their own stuff, about 25% of the people are using the free builds you get…and those players don’t seem to do any better or worse than the rest of the folks crafting their own.

For new parts that are uncraftable & portraits I consider “if” affordable. Sadly manty are not & sales sadly never seem to coordinate with my budget. Life goes on…

Okay, when I read Zarrurer response in the comments I belly laughed out loud. He captured exactly what I thought after reviewing them. But The_Purple_Snit has an interesting perspective. I agree with him about new / starting players having less to work with. Both the Deluxe addition of Raven’s Feast and Spirit Reader have 80 structure parts to start building with.

Back in the day when I first started out. The grind to get to 80 structure parts was sucktastic! To have the option to start with 80 parts may appeal to some new folks. Glad they have that option.

Cheers

I basically buy packs for the coin, and sell off most of what they come with to make the value even higher. However the price these came out at is FCUKING INSANE. They want AAA game money for basically one unique uncraftable component, and the rest is all craftable. Not even the whales are going to buy this crap.

youd be surprised.
but really though in CAD they are charging $86.50 per deluxe pack with the exception being the Chimera which is a mind numbing $93.50 which is extremely overpriced for what you get.
add onto that the 13% tax here in canada this is around 100 dollars per pack. yeaaaaaah no, not happening chief.

3 packs = $97.75 each
1 pack = $105.70
altogether = $398.95

again, no thanks.

You Canadiens pay a tax to Canada when you buy something in Crossout? Sheesh, just as bad as that twisted VAT in Europe. Could never understand that one…“Value Added Tax”…what “value” is the EU adding to anything?

it goes across ALL games. even playstation plus. they didnt used to have it but then they made it so they taxed you on literally everything, games, subscriptions, dlc, packs, etc all included in that tax. its so stupid.
so lets say you buy a playstation card from the store for 50 dollars right? yeah you dont pay 50 dollars, its 50 dollars PLUS TAX. so thats 56.50 with tax. the worst part is if you put in the card to the ps store you only get the 50 bucks, doesnt count the tax.

edit to add: they didnt used to tax you on the playstation store cards. it was just 50 bucks and thats it, but then they all started charging you tax on it.
