Uranium Mini Campaign

This is an idea for a Uranium Mini Campaign, where you ride around battling all the known factions in their respective territories for prized uranium. Here’s the idea…

Map: Adventure map.

Teams: You’re on the attacking team, which consists of 4 human players (no fill-in bots). Each faction’s defending team is 6-10 bots. You play against only one faction at a time.

Skill levels: Easy, normal, hard, extreme. Your level choice restricts the PS level your build can be, affects the number of opposing bots, determines the time limit, and whether or not you get a bonus uranium. This gives new players a chance to take part and earn worthwhile rewards which they can use to augment their grinding, and offers increased challenge for veteran players.

  • Easy – max 4k PS, 30 minutes, 6-7 bots, no bonus uranium.
  • Regular – max 7K PS, 30 minutes, 7-8 bots, no bonus uranium.
  • Hard - max 10k PS, 25 minutes, 8-9 bots, 2 bonus uranium for 6 factions destroyed.
  • Extreme – no PS limit, 20 minutes, 10 bots, 4 bonus uranium for 6 factions destroyed.

Movement parts: Whatever is allowed in the Adventure now (wheels, tracks, hovers).

Weaponry: Unrestricted. For once, you might be happy to have sealclubbers on your team!

Respawns: To make this more realistic than raids where you get a free respawn, there are NO respawns upon your destruction. However, you CAN perform unlimited repairs, as long as you are STILL ALIVE to get to a repair point, strategically located. This adds the challenge of managing your damage control versus a “you-only-live-once” mindset. A team could agree to repair as a group after each faction destroyed, or individual players could race solo to a repair location depending on their situation, then return to their team’s location.

Rewards: For each faction defeated and you survived, you get 1 uranium. So, if you defeat all 6 factions and are alive at the end, you get 6 uranium (not including a bonus). If your team survived through the destruction of the 5th faction but were wiped out fighting the 6th, and you died (shamefully) while fighting the 3rd faction, they get 5 uranium each, and you only get 2.

Comments: I think there is enough here to allow players of all skill and equipment levels to take part. It will be a boon for new players to get some coins cashing in their uranium, and give veterans a choice to play hardcore in the “extreme” mode or relax a bit and play as a sealclubber in the easy or normal modes. It’s balanced enough so that vet players can’t complain about new players being handed uranium while they themselves get nothing special for the effort. I didn’t get into the powerscores of the bots themselves, or what to do if a player gets disconnected, because I know the devs won’t consider this idea anyway. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
