Uranium Raid idea (+ leviathan participation)

I have an idea about Uranium War as well as increasing the participation of leviathan into fighting players, since that 500 leviathan win achievement takes forever.

I think this integrated idea will increase the activity of player-made leviathans, as well as allow players to earn Uranium outside of Clan Wars, Gauntlet of Survivors, and Battle for Uranium.

Part 1: Uranium Raid

Format: Frontier Defense / Steel Cradle only.
Minimum Power-score requirement: 12000PS.
Fuel cost: 180 Litres.
Weekly limit: 20 units of Uranium.
Earnings: 1 unit of Uranium (or 200 Engineer badges after reaching weekly uranium cap) for win, 100 Engineer badges on defeat.

“Steel Cradle” Uranium Raid
Instead of faction leviathan, a player leviathan is loaded in as final boss, and their difficulty scales as follows:

  • Cleared 2 objectives excluding faction boss vehicle: 50% total player PS
  • Failing 1 objective excluding faction boss vehicle: 75% total player PS
  • Failing 2 objectives excluding faction boss vehicle: 100% total player PS

And in addition, the original faction boss vehicle will be replaced with a player leviathan with 50% of player total PS.

“Frontier Defense” Uranium Raid
3 player leviathans will be used in the raid instead of faction boss vehicles. Leviathan difficulties scales as follows:

  • Wave 1: 50% total player PS
  • Wave 2: 75% total player PS
  • Wave 3: 100% total player PS

Faction benefits applies for any kind of Uranium Raid, i.e. player leviathan can receive buff from Scavengers support drones if Scavengers is the active faction during rotation.

Part 2: Player Leviathan participation

For the Player Leviathans, their participation wave rewards depends on if they’re 50%, 75% or 100% of the total player PS, and their Engineer badge gains will be on a separate page of the same invasion reward tab.

If players failed Uranium Frontier Defense at any stage, all participating Leviathans (i.e. the leviathan have showed up and dealt damage) will receive the victory reward and count as winning the “invasion”.

Any leviathan win in any Uranium Raid counts towards invasion leviathan win.

By creating Uranium Raid which allows player leviathans to participate, players have an increased incentive to built a leviathan, as well as having an actual alternative (from the stupid GoS/BFU a.k.a. Clan War lite) to earn Uranium.

This should increase player retention, while also allowing players to practice about taking on potentially Clan-War-capable leviathans.

Please give me constructive feedbacks so that I can polish this idea and present it on Reddit where the community manager, Faley016, is more active on.

People are acting like uranium raids would be easy farm for the sheepies but in reality it would have a higher skill cap than BfU’s

An interesting idea! I’d go for it.

Alternatively, I had an idea for a Uranium Mini Campaign, but I’ll post it elsewhere so as not to hijack this thread.

My interest in it would really depend on the payout to fuel ratio. I normally do straight electronics and you get 3 of those for the same cost that’s being preposed. I wouldn’t expect it to be any easier but that ratio margin would have to account for the 10% tax for the sale too. I wouldn’t want to have to sell to buy electronics and end up with less for a larger effort. The difference between prices is over 10x on the uranium side too, that price difference would probably have to stabilize as well.

I would be in general interested in higher PS min raids though. The majority of raids I do though tend to only be half populated already, so I’m not even sure if the game can support them right now.

I really like the idea of giving Leviathans a more active role in Uranium raids. It would make the mode feel more unique and encourage players to build them.

I’m curious, what would be a fair payout/fuel ratio? if the required cost exceed 200L, should we increase the maximum fuel limit (and if so, how to convince targem to)?

Honestly hard to say right now: Uranium is up from the new generator and electronics is down from it being hot on the badge exchange. So it’s kind of a bad time to look at the prices for them.

Prices while typing this right now:
10x Uranium = 719.19, 1 = 71.91
100x Electronics = 51.22

The prices normally are a bit closer to 10x between each other in value. So if we take a day’s electronics raids 3x for 180 fuel. My last values for “war of fire raid” was 11, 12, 13 = 36 electronics (Some raids pay out better) That would be way under that 10x value difference. I would rather look at the avg payouts across all the raids then just my last 3 though. i.e. what’s their high and low reward values. Right now it would be around 2.7 days worth of 3x runs to match the 100 tally of electronics and then we’d still be short a little to match the value of the 1 uranium.

As 1 uranium could potentially be over the fair amount but that can create other issues especially if they charge more fuel to make up the difference. i.e. There only so many fuel selling players and that will reflect on the prices of every other resource tied to fuel if the ratio payout is too good.

Now they could also run it as a weekly reward for doing this particular raid type i.e. win this raid type x times and get 1 Uranium in addition to other rewards per raid. that would let them make change if the ratio was higher in fuel cost. They wouldn’t have to raise the max fuel either as it’s tracked across multiple days/attempts. If it’s coded as a weekly challenge there isn’t a need for a limit max though as the player will just run out of challenges instead. I doubt they would let a player earn up to 20 though on raids per week.

I hope that give’s you an idea of how I’m looking at fair rates. Not that has to be the way it’s done, calc’d or thought over.

So that means it would need 600L worth of raids to match the price of 60L Electronics? That’s a lot.

While i think keeping the fuel cost equivalent across each material is sort of fine, the fact that you need 3 days to earn 1 uranium is, very discouraging.

Maybe I should just call it “Extreme” raid where the payout is Engineer Badges, cost 200 fuel per raid, and add a repeatable weekly (20 times max) of “Win 2 battles in ‘Extreme’ Raids” for 1 Uranium each?

That’s kind of what we have to look at though as in the past every time in the past someone came up with an idea for a uranium raid the CW players would say it needs to require as much effort as they put in to get it. So if the resource balance is right they should have less complaints about it. Outside of that is amount of play time to earn it.

10x value is kind of a rough average of where they seem to tend to sit. While 600L sounds like a lot we are given 1400L per week. That would give room enough for 2 uranium per week without earning or buying fuel.

That’s probably closer to what I’d say is feasible though I’m still unsure of this (20 times part) and what the fuel cost exactly has to be. That limit might have to be adjusted based on fuel sales so it doesn’t push prices of other resource prices up. Earlier in the day there were about 200 sellers for one of the packages of fuel (don’t remember which one though). Going with Extreme Raids as a grouping is a fair idea too as that would let them add or rotate through them.

Well then, i would like to make it just short of the weekly uranium earning of the minimum clan war league. I don’t have access to discord rn so i can’t really get into a clan war clan, ima plan to make the “uranium raid” weekly limit just 1 minus the weekly earning of CW.

do you know what’s the weekly payout of uranium for the lowest accessible league (iirc it’s gold)?

I’ve stopped playing CW for about a year, and even then i wasn’t playing it competitively anymore.
As far as i remember it’s 40 uranium, but don’t even bother. Even i with a decent-ish team couldn’t pull off the weekly limit back when we’ve been playing CWs.

TL,DR: don’t even bother lol, CWs are only somewhat viable for, quite literally, 500 or so players. And even then most of these players form alliances to firmly hold the top so you wouldn’t outcompete them

so you’re saying we have a list of 500 players that hold the entire game in hostage?

“Hey Ferb, I Know What We’re Going To Do Today!”

I don’t think that is what he’s saying… It’s probably like they will complain if they lose their grind income. This is why I’m like you have to be careful about the amounts.

nah, fuck them. I’ll straight up remove the cap.

the repeatable weekly will be 5 uranium per 5 extreme raid win.

5 per week sounds high even when looking at the past but I mostly want each inroad to have some access to it. I don’t know if that makes sense but it removes a major complaint. I really don’t care if it is one but a raid only player should have some acess to that resourse.

Honestly after 10ish years of playing I have all of 33 uranium doing the least amount of effort to get them. Feel free to laugh.

Not really.
You see, ~500 players are spread within ~40 clans that reliably farm uranium. Almost entirety of them are playing CW for more than 5 years at this point.

But, there’s… how do i put it, a certain group of disruptive players. I call them “The Toper Syndicate”. I guess there’s about 60 players total, but these players are in the top clans (and by top i mean top 1-10). They’re really really REALLY close to each other and had formed an oligarchy of sorts.

If i describe every sin they’ve done, this would be a really long post. But TL,DR:

  1. they have alt accounts in other syndicate clans so anyone from their oligarchy can just go to that account and play in certain clan
(no concrete proof here but only words from one of them)

  2. They mix their packs in group BfU’s so they couldn’t face off against each other, and instead don’t let weaker players go higher in the leaderboard

    2.1) Also this “astronomical coincidence”

  3. They hack accounts and bleed them dry. This actually happened to my friend

  4. They abuse different bugs, like that one infinite R&D money glitch

4.1) Or “accidentally” recieving the special Flame Riders hardware and using it in CWs

And they’re very toxic. Like, VERY. Imagine Russian CS:GO kid on steroids

It’s really funny to me how USA/EU drama boils down to a few people forgetting to take their meds and blowing their minds on this forum accusing everyone because of their own delusions, while something like this flies under their radar. ahem Not mentioning anyone in particular, of course

i doubt the Targem dev’s will listen because they’re too mentally and physically retarded but i 2nd this idea…In fact many years ago when this forum was more popular and was as toxic as a radioactive cesspool I mentioned this quite a times among other things…
crossouts grind is worse than many MMORPG’s…
the existance of coins is dependant on people using real money otherwise if no one pays real money into the game… the market will eventually become stagnant and no one will be able to make progress in the game thanks to the markets 10% tax rate.
Coins needs to be a reward in matches to with a limited Cap per week or month…
As for uranium there needs to be other means of obtaining it other than just pvp

Honestly we are trying to only look at the idea of a uranium raid here. Most of what you are saying is off topic. I get there are complaints but make your own topic for that. We are just trying to figure out if the uranium market can deal with it and I get what you are talking about can be related but we need numbers not presumptions or accusations.

If we do not desturb anything going on what is a good rate? If we do disturb what is a good rate?

If you want to talk what kind of abuses go on in the game put that in another thead.
