I suppose my sarcasm was too thick to understand. Oops
What i’ve meant is that Corax requires you to focus only cab or weapons and 90% of the time you need to fire only explosive shots. It’s literally free 1000 damage every 2 seconds which is insane.
Based on this:
i’ve assumed that guy either doesn’t focuses cab/weapons or misses alot which explains why “corax is not op”
so fun when you’re driving with 1700hp and then 5 seconds later you’re destroyed because a guy just clicked twice
simply a difference in skill, not like this gun can deal twice the damage of a cw scorpio build while having 2-3 times less cooldown
I never claimed to be great at sniper weapons, but those low damage shots can happen when I’m aiming at the middle of my leviathan, so it’s not just about lack of aiming ability.
With the size of projectiles and the wonky hitboxes of parts, it’s very easy for a bolt to attach to a useless part.
Anyway, I’m comparing my performance with it to other long range weapons. I’m just not seeing it performing significantly better than other similar weapons.
Maybe its strength only shows up in the hands of much better players than me, but you can say the same about every weapon.
Are you actually playing Corax much yourself?
I have no reason to defend it. I’m just reporting my experiences both as a victim of Corax players and my own preliminary experiences using it myself.
Yes it’s a good gun, and could still be good with some minor nerfs. But I do not agree that it’s massively OP and needs heavy nerfs.
Yes, in ideal circumstances it can do a lot of damage. But those ideal circumstances do not happen often enough in an average match to make it massively unbalanced.
Explosive damage is just too inconsistent, and the time delay explosions of this one have all the same problems as Phoenix, except that it’s even more likely to destroy the part it hits on impact rather than attaching and detonating.
I didn’t think you were much of a sniper, but maybe I missed you posting about that. I do remember you posting that sniper weapons in general are OP, which probably explains your viewpoint on this gun.
Edit: it just occurred to me that there are various ways to disable the explosive bolts. Has anyone tested them to make sure they work?
