What is the point of those?
It seems rather silly to lock grinding to a limit.
Players will just stop playing when they reach it, and the player population will go down.

Hmmm…well…if I ran an orphanage, I would force the kids to play my account around the clock, seven days a week just to farm resources for me. Resource limits just might be in place to stop people from taking advantage of orphans.
To get people to buy premium
That’s literally it
That and to limit access to goods via raw materials.
to slow the acquisition of goods, to avoid people getting everything in what they consider a short time.

they wouldnt want people to spend too much time on the game, would they
i find the limit to be quite stupid. in clan wars / clan confrontation you get around 70 scrap per round and if you play that mode alot then you can cap out on it very quickly. i remember in my clan wars days i would often time cap out on scrap within a day or two of playing it. then id be limited to wires or batteries, or if i wanted to, raids because raids have no resource limit.
