I’m curious what cabins other people keep coming back to, and which are surprisingly versatile, even if they’re not the best.
I think Harpy is the one I’ve used the most, as it’s good for anything explosive.
There are other cabins I use frequently, but none that work for as many builds as I use Harpy for.
Those are all good cabins, but most have very specific uses.
My honourable mentions are the two drifting cabins (they work with anything other than long range), Griffon (but raises my PS too much), Torero, and Machinist. I used to use Beholder for every type of build, but eventually realized I don’t need cloak that much.
Blight is still my go-to for any fire weapons, and Cerebus for melee. Steppe spider for most missiles. Deadman for high energy reload weapons. Howl is pretty versatile for close range weapons.
Deadman, I like reload weapons, usually running only 2 guns is the way to go on most guns when you can’t afford to hadron king it.
Satori for the shape and speed and a perk that technically works with absolutely everything
I’ve only ever used Deadman single guns to maximize the perk, but you are making me think I should try it with some dual gun setups.
I forgot to mention that I use Manitou for all revolvers. Very specific use, and the perk is definitely flawed, but I love the look and the speed enough to tolerate the awkward perk.
I use Kronos for all my fast builds, mostly due to its speed. Its perk is okay as long as you have a wreck nearby and can maneuver around it if needed. For heavy I use Mainframe due to it’s decent mass limit and perk. I usually avoid medium cabins. If I need to make a lower-PS build to play with a friend, I use Growl. Certain art builds use other cabins, but not very often.
The Call. Epic cabin with excellent weld points, decent speed and mass. Keeps my power score where I want it. They stole an energy recently and forced me to buy a Thor and now I waste one energy.
I uses it for my vindicators which is my go to mg. The dps paired with the icebox is sick and add in the durability of the vindicators itself it is hard not to suck with it just as long just has you can use legs without camera steering cause otherwise it is easy for players to get around you but that goes for any fixed angle weapon and that is what the icebox buffs.
