I came for the Mad Max apocalyptic theme and it was free on Xbox. I stayed for the vehicle building and figuring out how to design a better vehicle or counter vehicle. It is kind of like Legos.

There are far more wheels and car parts to build mad max vehicles with now than ever before, and wheels are also more competitive than they’ve ever been.
Sure, there are also more sci fi options than ever before too, but that doesn’t mean they killed off the mad max vibes. Adding lasers and hovers doesn’t remove wheels and machine guns.
The game has no “theme” anymore. Mad Max-like cars, + military sci-fi, + Terminator ravagers, + wonky sci-fi flying cars, + Cyberpunk, + Star Wars walkers, + helicopters, + submarines… It’s a complete mess. It had an identity… once. It’s all been diluted since ages.

From a RPG perspective, I picture my character as an average survivor, who has amassed a big enough arsenal to feel relatively secure on the wasteland. I’m not a warlord, but I’m also not scared to drive around at night.
I see myself as being born into a Lunatic/Firestarter family, and married into a Syndicate family. And my imaginary best friend is part of the Hyperborean crew. Not to say I won’t acquire parts from other factions, but my wheelhouse is the gasoline world.
But I like that the Crossout universe is big enough that my personal aesthetic isn’t the default norm. I think my hotrods look more cool battling against giant walkers and hovers than if everyone just had a normal car with guns.

The game is big enough that you can make it whatever you want it to be.
From an RPG perspective, I picture my character as a madman, breaking into Poony4u’s garage and finding nothing worth stealing, so I break into someone else’s garage, steal their paint, and paint pictures of eggs all over Poony’s builds and add the verbiage “the price of eggs came down”.

I picture myself as a muscular(ish) dude with a beard and basically the opposite of me IRL. But deep down in me, there’s still a good heart (the only thing similar to me IRL). I help a few people, and kill others, depending on who poses a threat and who is in need. Sometimes I get an old (and somewhat crazy) scientist guy to help me engineer cool and unique builds, like that plane I made in my exhibition (PC), or some of my old ravager builds (that probably got deleted). I also have a soft spot for fuzzy things, mainly hamsters, although most of them died in the apocalypse. I keep whatever I can save, both parts and animals. Overall, I am a nice big dood with a few friends and a few enemies.

I think Crossout is a secret government program to train A.I. how to kill humans most effectively.
The perfect bot aim has never been addressed, bots have just become more dangerous over the years.
It’s just like Mad Max, you build your own car and go at it.

Campers vs blockers
In a game increasingly harder to brawl , where you can’t simply go brawl without being screened along the way by everything, torpedoes by invisible DDs ( detection mechanics ), HE spammers, other BBs that shoot at you 20 away behind cover, and cvs that once they focus you …you are dead, if you do a mistake you had it, the fastest ( in my time ) was at a ML200 legs speed
If you choose another class, you will have to tank because your BBs won’t tank, they stay in the spawn behind some island taking pot shots at each other and run from DDs and CVs, or you are risking getting detected while trying to spot for the team that don’t shoot what you spot for them.
In here brawl is on all the time regardless of the class you are playing with, once i got here was like going to a Oprah show, you get a radar, you get a radar, everyone gets a radar.
Hell, i saw builds covered in radars ( when decor was used as armour), it was like the land of plenty

And a likewise team to play with 24 7.
Solo f2p. Wish I never found this game.
Too invested to quit now.
But the games seriously not fun anymore.
Just spent an hour or 2 trying to get a few wins. 7 min ques to fight op asf ajax cab, clans.
Game is just for the p2w whales \ clans at this point.
The only time I have fun now is occasional brawls.

the hilarious thing is that p2w is literally all this game has left.
so how do they think its a good idea to even reject those p2w players, the remaining few who havent quit yet?
they just dont want to give players a single good gamemode to play, for some very stupid deluded reason, the same reason everything else is in ruins

For me, after getting mad at regular pvp, i want a fun chill pve mode…
We have bedlam which is good, but i get targeted everytime i go there lol.
But a pve mode besides raids or patrol idk. With worth while rewards.
