What the game needs

Is active playerbase tracking, so you know what powerscores the people are playing at.
And reducing wait times when you join games of popular active powerscores.

Something like this image below.

But then we could see how bad the game is doing player-wise and the devs don’t want that.

It won’t show the whole picture, as it will only show the players online.

And it will likely reduce wait times, as you can see what PS most online players are at, so you can aim for that while building.

The numbers would probably jump around a lot, even if they are just tracking say 3-4k active players. I generally don’t just play a single PS range for long, I know some players tend to. Similarly if it’s only showing logged in players and not the modes they are in, the results it spits out are going to be far from accurate. For example I really don’t need to see how many people are just sitting in chat or build mode, custom games, test garage…

It might be better to have this on the mode select page and then show the break downs of PS’s for say the last half hour (keeps the numbers from jumping around as much. You might see something like 25 percent are in X mode and they have the following PS brackets with their amounts next to them. It could show the data when hovering over the mode or perhaps off to the side similar to the panel for more info on the mode.

Yep but it would depend on the server refresh rate set.

Easy fix, only count the players active at start or end of games.
