And who owns any of this? Not me, that is who!
Aspect and Starfall? Who owns any of that? Not me, that is who!
Thresher? Who owns those? Same answer!
Devourer? Same question, same answer.
Yes, we killed the helicopter enemy at least twice. Whether we collected his balloon, I cannot say, but he flew down to collect balloons and got blasted and grounded and died at least twice, still not enough to conquer his ability to strip everything important from our vehicles from safety and force us to SD to respawn and hope our allies collect our balloon.
Thresher isnât that expensive, neither are tracks. Hardened tracks are the best and very cheap. Omnis are also pretty cheap after the nerf.
Aspect is pretty cheap as far as legendary weapons go, barely ever breaks 2.4k, and Iâve caught it at 1.7k before. Starfall wonât ever drop below 3k, Iâm guessing, but you can get it.
Devourer is the only one I donât see you getting anytime soon.
Patrol counts for most aircraft challenges too.
There are sometimes a few challenges that require you to actually use rotors on your build, but most do not. Just playing a mode where aircraft are allowed is enough.
I still donât think aircraft are OP in Next Step, because they are not good at collecting the capsules, and thatâs important for actually winning matches. They can only really be effective at supporting their team, and most players donât bother doing that.
For me, the most OP builds in Next Step are close range ones, as they pretty much always grab the capsule as they kill their victims. But they are balanced out by being vulnerable to aircraft.
Most ACs are good against aircraft, even rapiers. Therms are also a good low PS option. Whirls and tempests donât have enough range though.
The bots are really good at immediately grabbing both allied and enemy capsules. Iâll often just focus on supporting my bots when playing this mode, as I know theyâll grab my capsule if I die near them.
Also, if you are near death or lose a weapon, go self destruct in a corner so no one grabs the capsule.
you can get double of the scrap than with normal missions.
and respawns, which means that you can really go for it, regardless. Everything that you may consider in the normal mode to extent survivability and to manage your battle isnât there anymore.
If it moves, itâs prey. Itâs cheer aggression.
The problem itâs the fun police ( choppers )
See, there it is, after the nerf! I am not getting any of that just for them to nerf it after I get it, no thank you! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!
The bots do not self-destruct when stripped from above by the sole aircraft in the game. You try to stay near them you get stripped too. With no ally aircraft to challenge the enemy aircraft, we were powerless to avoid being stripped. You stay by the burning bot, but the bot will not die, and you end up stripped.
No way should any mission have one aircraft. If mm canât find two aircraft, then the aircraft can sit in the queue until mm finds another.
I was able to self-destruct near the ally bot and not lose a point several times, but the bots do not return the favor. So, the aircraft strips them but leaves them alive.
Doesnât matter if the bot is degunned, because its purpose is to grab my capsule if I die, grab the capsule from any enemy I kill, and draw fire from enemies.
If youâre close to them, they will pretty much always grab your capsule before any helicopter can land and grab it.
If youâre playing lower/mid PS, just use some cheap ACs. Theyâll cost you almost nothing, and arenât in danger of serious nerfs anytime soon.
Theyâre the best anti-air weapon class we have.
Just tried the mode to do the challange mentioned. 2 out of 3 times the enemy had one extra heli. In the 3rd match both teams had 1. I have doppler on 90 % of my builds. Nobody else in my team had, couse when I died the minimap was empty until I got back again. It is quite easy to follow your own bots. So did my allies as well. Easy 3 wins, if you focus fire them, doesnât matter how many heli, mech or ground vehicles the enemy has. They didnât have a doppler couse all were wondering alone or in groups of 2. Same as in all other modes players think it is too much sacrifice to use 2 energy on a doppler. I think I can help my team more with a doppler, than with a cooler or reload modul.
So, this means I endured Whales pummeling with OP weapons until they got nerfed and the price dropped because now, they are nothing special because they were only special while they were OP.
So, why would I buy them now? I do not require them to play, and it sounds like they would elevate my power score greatly.
I did buy grenadiers because they were dirt cheap, and I desired to complete the Trial and unlock the Banner Logo. Of course they are no longer OP.
Just set MM to not start a battle with a helicopter unless each team has at least one Helicopter.
This helicopter enemy, unchallenged by aircraft, could just hold his park brake and hover over the map and strip everything. Then, he could fly to the far edge and SD, and nobody can get his balloon. We did cripple him at least twice when he divebombed a balloon, but he escaped to SD elsewhere and respawn full strength and start again. It was totally unfair, taking 3-4 of us just to hurt one enemy, while he injures everyone from safety. A radar would do fine for him on that map with nothing to hide under.
Yesterday I took a helicopter into Next Level. I was the only one on our team and I was up against two others. We lost but I spammed those other two with rockets to keep them occupied from what was happening on the ground. LOL they got pretty frustrated ramming me in mid air many times. One guy was running an Avalanche on his heli lol.
Exactly why each team needs at least one helicopter. I hope you had fun fighting 1v2 copters. You were the one having an unfair battle that time, but your ground allies had a chance thanks to you and your strategy.
I had an interesting match in Next Step last night. I was using wheels but we had two helicopters on our team and the other team had none. I have no idea how, but we got slaughtered.
