First you force us to play this gd arcade mode called next step!
Then you give one team a Heli but not my team?
Then this enemy is free to rain hell down upon us with no counter!
That is some bull hockey!
Stop forcing us to play this god forsaken game mode and make it fair!
Where is the fair fight for Resources that you promise?
Where?
Sidemounting weapons, or the Starfall. The Aspect is a good AA gun, so is the thresher, and the devourer has great elevation angles too. There’s also this thing called guided missiles. Dinos are good for jumping and hitting helis. And if all else fails, be the heli.
theres also these things called spark 3, mgs, flocks, and literally everything else in the game minus melee that can counter these. nice try though but missiles are the most counterable weapon in the entire game
I didn’t get that memo, and so I haven’t been playing it. I’m not sure what they are offering in exchange for playing that mode, but I’ve been fine to just skip it. What am I missing?
makes it difficult to combat cars that are on the ground as opposed to the air. dont forget weapons have limited angles when having to face up and down on a sideways build.
is it? i tried using one in pvp and it doesnt work all that well for me. unless im missing something.
grenade launcher? grenade launchers suck at hitting air targets unless you got the bots aim. plus they are fragile to and will melt at the air target blasting you with mg fire.
i… never tried aiming up very high with the devourer so i have to test that.
silly lockmhn dinosaurs dont exist in crossout!
… oh wait you meant the legs!
the way you said it though makes me think of mario jumping to hit a block. jump and hit the heli and maybe a mushroom will pop out!
i think hes referring to the pvp missions for the mini battlepass? other then that idk.
If it’s a part of the mini pass, then I guess that does suck.
If it’s about the regular challenges asking for Mech-Leg missions, then that’s a bummer, but I didn’t notice. I’m totally over the grind…unless it’s for bling.
Its elevation angles make it good for engaging helis at 100m or greater, but the only solution to helis above you is sidemounting or the Starfall. But heli players don’t tend to camp right above you, as they can only see a small portion of the battlefield that way. Also, using more than one might help.
They deal considerable damage, and at 6-7k PS they’re lethal, even for helis. And isn’t fragility what the omamori is for?
I think it’s a 50 degree angle, has great depression too. Angles for it are fantastic.
Can’t spell my name right…
But a surprising amount of “meta” helis have the generators and explosives tucked under the heli, right between where they mount their four hummingbirds. So jumping up and hitting them like Mario might just get something to pop…
…
And you still haven’t tried countering being the heli.
I know everybody isn’t into my degree of minimalism, but if you don’t have good counters in your inventory to what you’re seeing in PVP, you can play under a lot of it by stripping off the power-scores and ditching some of your own fancy gear.
The matchmaker is supposed to work according to that principal (PS vs XP)…supposedly; the more heat you bring, the more heat you’ll face. In practice, if that’s the principal it operates under, it seems a little broken often, but whatever. It still seems to be easy to influence my potential opponent’s build through a careful and purposeful management of my own build. I sort of get what I build for.
Every PS range has its own META for sure, but there are a lot of balance issues that can simply be avoided by not playing at a power-score one’s inventory is not prepared for, is the short version.
Also, I don’t think people should feel required to participate in all of this game’s features. There are a lot of features. I don’t play even half of them, and there is still plenty to do.
Resist the FOMO. It’s nice to have an established account, and the initial grind is a bit too grueling, I think. I would definitely suggest Battle Passes to any player who wanted to make something of this game, as it can be really harsh to be a F2P Ace in this game, but there’s nothing special at the top of this mountain, IMO.
its called a typo there bud, i make spelling mistakes sometimes. calm your dracos lockmahn.
what is there to counter? i mean some people dont like the controls really, i myself find the controls a little wonky at times. then again i only have one heli build. idk how to build good helis or the walker things. i tend to just stick to one thing. i would build one, or attempt to, but sadly my spaces for data are all taken up, im just waiting to get another data expansion so i can expand what i have. i need like 5 or 6 to expand them and i only have 2 at this time. i dont feel like wasting materials on them either.
i herd people complaining that they were weak for what they are. i never tried them out myself because they didnt appeal to much to me. i have 1 or 2 of them fused i think but they been collecting dust. perhaps i should try them. also omamori is broken dude. everyone and their grandmother uses it and idk how to slot it into a build properly.
im playing low powerscore about 5k and a single aspect does ok in it. not the best but i pair it with a gungnir and… ehhhh it gets the job done i suppose. im just getting the missions done thats all. i dont build competitively.
Neither do I, and that usually ends with me being WAY out of my depth in a 13k PS vehicle with under 1k HP and garbage DPS or in an absolute UNIT with 3k hp, two legendary modules, legendary cab and a pair of epic weapons… at 6k PS.
they’re hard to use at range but completely obliterate everything up close.
They’re much easier to use on keyboard. And I think JamesZodd is on PC, so there is no excuse on his part. Unless he’s only got frontal shotguns and drones…
Dual Aspect at 6.5k PS is the best, if you can fit a seal on there you’re good to go.
Actually, I use a flock on the build I use for leviathan invasions. It’s saved my butt more than a few times, often from attack by nest rockets. But no, never needed it in regular pve/pvp missions or in raids.
Couldn’t tell you why the flock is usually buried in the frames, it’s always on hovers. It might be because it’s classified as a weapon and you won’t the “disarm” notice until it’s destroyed?
dude i WANT another aspect. i like the gun quite a bit and im hoping to get another one. with this mini battlepass i WANT to get that starfall because i want two of them. but yeah i run a really tiny build but i dint think id be able to fit a seal on it… hmmm… ill have to rearrange it a bit when i do get one and see what i can do for it.
i bet they are. on ps4 its wonky and i cant really control my heli that well but eh its fine. its just an incinerator build on a heli, nothing to spectacular. it gets me by.
ill have to try them then. i think i have 2 fused… but yeah if i can close distance to a heli im sure i might be able to do some damage to it.
i couldnt build that effectively lol. my builds are mostly for pve so i build to my pve standards. still though i had a glass cannon build with my harpy fuze drone build in the past and it was brutal. at 10k ps it did great. i tried it a few months ago at 10k from what i remember of the build and… it sucked so badly… i have a multipurpose build though. one i randomly made for adventure as a speed build so i could get the adventure mode missions done, you know the 20 missions in adventure from before? yeah sadly a few days after i made that there was no point in going into adventure anymore because they took out that mission. ah well.
The Mini Pass Challenges that day required 1000 points in Next Step and 150 parts destroyed in Next Step. The Challenges stack, so either play Next Step or never complete another Challenge.
Participate in a fair fight for Resources unless your team has no helicopter allies while the enemy does, then just lose.
I still completed the Challenges.
My Helicopter does not fly, too heavy for flight but not too heavy to drive. Of course, stuff gets shot off and I can then fly but choose not to. I was in my ground vehicle. If the Challenge requires a helicopter, then I use a ground vehicle with a blade attached and never activate it except to screw around at the end when it makes no difference. If we had additional blueprint slots for air vehicles equal to the amount for ground vehicles then maybe I would design several helicopters and save the designs, but that would make too much sense.
If one team has a helicopter, then the other team needs one too! If only one helicopter is in the queue, then make them wait!
i complained about this to and people gave me rude responses as well, especially on reddit, bunch of fricken idiots with no brains on there acting like keyboard warriors defending a crappy game challenge system on there.
i find the forced pvp thing to be unfair. sure you have respawns but i dont care about that. i care about helis in that mode being unbearable to deal with. i cant even hit them with my crossbows and im a really good shot to.
The issue is MM placed one helicopter and 5 ground builds versus 6 ground builds.
Why do I have to be the helicopter?
Make the teams fair!
They promise a fair fight for Resources!
Then your team is 6-7 against 8, real fair!
Your team has no helicopters and theirs does, real fair!
You are around 8000 PS, and the enemy bot is 12,000 PS, real fair!
