Why do i want relics when i can run 7k ps maces for more fun? šŸ¤”

I’d love to see a suck-fest between it & the Ripper.
I have never ever seen the Ripper used even remotely effectively. Remember that dude we had on here complaining that his triple Ripper hover build wasn’t effective? That dude was pissed.

Yeah, and there are lots of weapons that do the heating thing & do it very well. I’m not thinking a relic that repeats the trick is worth a crap.

I get that just from facing them in battle, so even with having never played them, I think you’re both right. They almost seem magical. I also agree they’re significantly better than the weapons I mentioned, but specifically for projectile speed & visibility. You don’t see the scorp round coming. It doesn’t give away the location of the guy firing at you. This only means something in PVP, of course… bots don’t avoid big slow glowing orbs for some odd reason.

I have Fortunes… the fact that the fortunes are very long range, insanely inaccurate & bounce all over the place make them - I’d imagine - very different to use compared to the porcs.

Agreed… once you start to hit above 15k, the presence of relics starts to really be felt. I can easily compensate for relics at 10k, but put 'em on a proper build & my legendaries can’t compete nearly as well.

Yep… it does.
Y’all just are confirming my suspicions that if you’re going to dip your toes into the Relic waters, and are going to do so for variety’s sake, Porcs & Scorps are probably the two to go for. At least, for me, that’s how it seems.

Granted, the Ripper is unique. Very unique. I mean, generally when I need to go poopie, I use a toilet. For variety, I could just drop a turd on the dining room table. That’d be unique. Very unique.

I own both fused porcs and fused fortunes, I love both of these builds. The play style is very different for both.

I feel both of these weapons are highly competitive in high PS PvP.

The only Relics I’d try would be Scorp, Porc or Rippers… mainly for fun and the fact that they’re fully unique weapons… Maybe a Mastodon but apart from that most Relics seem like a Legendary with extra PS

Yes

No

Not really, if you can aim with them well. Barrels have lower velocity and better shape, but they bounce as well.

Jormunger (or whatever it’s called) is interesting, because it’s a relic that seems to perform best when you only use one with two Nidhoggs. A full set doesn’t do much damage, but one seems to amplify Nidhoggs like nothing else.

I suspect it may be the first relic I get, mostly because it’s cheap and you only need one.

Youre way too butt hurt dude

Regarding Ripper: it is unique but it would be best weapon not for XO. For some other game. Or for some other type of gameplay. It literally is best to create an obstacle course for the enemies with your disks if you put all three on different buttons. Damage-wise Ripper is totally meh.

You’re kidding right? What’s more fun? dealing damage or disabling your opponents? Flash is what every Spark, Kapkan, Jubokko, Vulture and Daze wish they were. Those weapons try to troll but generally fail. Flash delivers clutch trolling at all times.

Use it offensively to stop hovers. Use it defensively to clear Porcupines, Jubokkos, Ripper blades, Kapkans, Yaoguais Vultures, Hurricanes. Use it troll-fensively to steal power from others and keep them from reloading. I love to Flash a cannon build, especially the Avalanche. He knows that he will never get to shoot again. He can’t escape, can’t fight back, can’t hide. He might as well quit the match. Use a bunch of Flashes to just zap everything. Flash has endless playability. In addition, Flash can be used to good effect on far more builds than any other relic. Play it with Harvesters, Shotguns, Lances, Porcupines, flamethrowers. Use it in Levi wars on a fat Aegis build to turn yourself into a Kapkan that works against levis. Use it in raids to zap multiple enemies at once.

Flash should be the first relic. Not the last.

I agree with everything in your post, flash as a single relic is pound for pound value for your coins.

I highly suggest for someone to get a single flash, you will use this thing on a ton of builds. And it can be a great first relic.

But as your first relic build, ā€œtriple flash + dazeā€ is not for everyone.

I love it so much I have already fused one of the flashes and plan to fuse the other two.

Decide carefully. There isn’t many build style’s to play a jorg and two nidhogg’s on… make sure you like playing that build with junkbows… because that is what you will be playing.

It’s way off in the future for me. I want to have a set of every other weapon and I want every cabin before I try for relics.

But I’ve played junkbows and fafnirs before, and I like that line of shotguns. I also like Arothrons and Parsers, but sold my Arothrons because the price skyrocketed on PS4 and I couldn’t resist the huge profit. I think someone was trying to manipulate the market, and didn’t think things through enough. No one wants to buy Arothrons, let alone at that price.

it is useless if you dont have 10 urnaium to sell… (looks at my 3 lonely uranium collecting dust and wishes i could sell them) seriously why is there no ā€œsell 1ā€ option? im losing out on money!! :unamused:

well apparently the try hards want them in raids to do nothing but point and resource hog. so theres that i suppose?

fly up to someone, face hug them, barf porcs in their face… really unique!

a shotgun that heats up parts and is like the niddhog… nope!

i have 2 porcs and use them in raids. however they are stupidly strong… if you can hit your target :unamused:
however i see people come in with 3 - 5 porcs and just 1 shot everything and often times my team mates get a very low score. its why i dont like porcs all that much. 2 is enough but 3 - 5 is just overkill in my eyes.

another thing to note with them is the damage. a flat 250 per scorpion on hit. if it pierces it loses power but still thats alot of damage.

people complain about the gun sucking yet they are the one who has the lack of skill. find ways to use your rippers, find effective and efficient ways to use it. adapt and survive. its not the gun that sucks, its the uder that does. i know people are smart enough to figure out ways to use it, they are just to lazy to do so and find it fun to complain about it. :man_facepalming:

Hey, I said unique, not good! LOL :joy:
Actually, in raids, they look intensely good… at least on certain maps where enemies are boxed in. Wide open maps… not so much.

After typing that, I scroll down to finish reading your post and… yeah…

That may be true, but again… I’ve never seen the Ripper used effectively. That includes YouTube videos.
If I see one in battle on the other team, I know I have nothing to fear. If they’re on my team, I know I have to compensate.

On the other hand, there are Relics I know will give me a run for my money.

Scorps on a hover can be devastating if the player has any skill at all.

Punishers are rough… they’ll eat you up if you let 'em keep you in their sites. They’re durable, too. Nasty things. Alas, I don’t see them as anything more than a fancy machine gun. Not that unique. Good, not unique.

The shotguns & cannons are easy enough to deal with, although the Typhoon can erase you if it’s in the right hands. I watch out for that. The Breaker is good, I guess, but I rarely let myself get hit with a shotgun more than once. That thing reloads pretty slowly & they have to be right up on you to do any real damage. Honestly, I find a quad-mace or triple thunderbolt more threatening.

Again, though… I’m not really interested in having the most powerful build I can get in the game. I’m more tempted by variety. That’s just my tastes. :man_shrugging:

hahaha!

yeah they are stupidly good. but if you have 5 of them theres no challenge. your porcs can 3 shot most enemies (especially lunatics. they fall apart like they are made of wet cardboard). or 1 volley can take out almost any enemy without trying. bosses just melt when hit by them. i use 2 of them, they are meh most of the time but they can be pretty nasty if you hit the enemies weak points. i also use 2 arbiters or a reaper for added / long range damage.

they are however good at countering dog builds who get to cocky. i seen them used pretty effectively against flamethrower and shotgun builds. LOL rip the poor fools who think they can just muscle past them xD

scorpions are a double edged sword though, extreme range, powerful when hitting, can pierce but if you get close to one they get stripped easy and they are hard countered by nova. plus they take ammo to so…

bring back the old sound effect and they will be overpowered again!

yep. lol i used a dual typhoon back in my clan wars days, trust me i was a VERY good shot. i like using mastodons to and believe me mastodons can HURT when they hit. especially if they hit in the right spot.

breakers were broken before man. people kept crying about scorpions taking off their guns before they can use them and boom they get a invincibility perk. im glad they changed it cause that just wasnt fair.

yeah same. i get relics for the variety and for fun. i do raids more then pvp or even clan battles. i havent been in pvp in the past 2 years lol. well… no thats a lie, i been in the dronepocalypse so that does count as pvp. i wish that was a permanent mode… :unamused:

This one is the exact reason the game is partially good (darnitforumstopofferingmenaughtythings :rage:)

I do easy raids with Jorgs. I’m not looking for a challenge in raids nor is the resource difference enough that I care about it. I love people with 5 porc builds. Until the change to score based. Now I rarely do them at all.

This is my favorite game mode.

Porcs are not good? It’s because they are great

Don’t listen to that guy. There is no shame in running porcs or any weapon.

My personal favor porcs configuration is

4 porc, flywheel, Hadron, King, redhot

That thing can dump out porcs faster then a 5 porc build.

could you imagine the old porcs with all the new reloading perks?

Lol I know right.

My old triple porc, Echo, double kapcan used to toss out porcs insane fast before the nerfs.

I had 5 porcs for maybe a day. 3 were so much better with echo and I got scorps. I don’t think I willingly played porcs after that. Only when there was no one else on in clan for AOD.
